So the vet did an amputation then! They do really well like that, in a few months you will hardly notice that she is a tripod. Was it just the lower leg? The pic looked like the injury was at the hock?

She is trying to get them to go into the cat door in the milk house. It is a 4' drop! I thought there were 4 but she has 5.
She went in and was calling....no takers! Since she was in last night I figured she gave up and took them around to the "people door!"
OMG my dog STINKS so much! She must have found a choice thing to roll in last night! Definitely giving her a bath when the kids get here...I am thinking that will be loads of fun for them on suck a nice day! The dog will get more than she bargained for I am sure.
I need to brush horses too...they are shedding like mad and I hate all that hair when they brush up against me! It always gets in my eyes and mouth and makes me itch! DS just called...gotta pick him up at 2:30 and get him to the afternoon job. I sure hope he gets a check soon and his license renewed! One day and I am tired of it already.
Speaking of tired...I slept out on the trampoline last night! It was such a nice night that I thought it would be a good one to do it. I was wishing that there werent so many clouds cause the stars were not visible.
Guess I better get the watering done...I bought some seeds while I was in town; I want to get them planted today too...and fence the lettuce garden. The seeds we planted last Thursday are up already! I put clear plastic over them and I think it really helped to sprout them more quickly.
That mill in Merton? Milton? (near Oconomowoc) was the very first mill I went to and got my original chickens from them! Very small and "down home" atmosphere.
