Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Rberry you're still kinda new here. But you should be warned that Unk has a pervy humor issue. So saying you want to "hook up" with him (male or female) could be taken the wrong way. Then the location name. Bent? Really? As in "get bent over" or was that a typo for Brent? I just needed to interject the rampant supposition of sexual connotation that is more easily attached in posts to and from Unk.

Hi Unk! What's UP? Or down? Or needing help these days?
bf4m: My original reference to "hooking up" was fish related since we will be up there on our fall fishing trip . . . but your take on this is much more entertaining and yup it is Bent (Bents Camp). I love the pervy sense of humor, you all crack me up

He needs to borrow Jim's shaft....

Dh had been feeling rather yucky the last few days, so he saw his doc today. I picked a Deer Tick off of him about two weeks ago and since he is complaining of symptoms similar to Lymes he has been put on antibiotics. We will know in a few days if the rapid screen is pos or not. If not I am going to push that they do the Western Blot; more expensive BUT much more accurate than the standard screen (the rapid screen catches 75% of cases, and has a 25% false neg rate). Will keep you posted.

And no Heather I did NOT get my jam made yet!

bl4: I sure hope your husband feels better soon and doesn't have Lymes . . . skeeters aren't too bad but the ticks are awful this year!! I'm sure the skeeters will start up right about the time everyone wants to sit out and enjoy some fireworks.
But remember, Jim's shaft had some problems. Needed some shimming. Was rusty from misuse and some other tragic malady. I think he lubed it up and it's working ok, but not much life left in it???

Quote: AmberFlea: have a great time up north and good luck with the fishing
Quote: Jim: Would love to see the pic of the 80 babies of various size and color. I remember when we had gotten the 75 meatie chicks last year - it was a mass of peeping yellow fuzz.

Sheesh where is everybody?

Poor DH slept pretty well last night I think, he was sweating like mad too. He said he felt better this morning so off to work he went.

The kids got up and were shocked he had left!

TO, Angie, have you tried those Paleo pancakes? The 1 banana 1 egg recipe? I did yesterday and this morning. It is like eating banana bread. I added a pinch of salt and a little cinnamon. They are VERY fragile but pretty yummy! Since I have an overabundance of bananas at the moment, I made two loaves of banana bread this morning, they are in the oven as we speak. Yes Heather the jam WILL get made today! I have everything I need for it now. All I am waiting for at the moment is the dishwasher to finish running.

Time for another cup of joe.

I think I've finally come back from the other side and rejoined the living! It's been a bumpy ride. I've got a lot of catching up to do (here, in the garden, at home, at the store - everywhere) so I should get my rear moving but don't have the energy to plunge in just yet. I can't believe how bad the weeds are in the garden already! The quack grass is going to kill me for sure.

Time to make the donuts - have a great day, all!

Amber you should stay up North through next weekend too. Avoid the headache of the Car Show........

Yes, it's a madhouse in Iola and surrounding area, but it brings SO MUCH MONEY into this area, all the communities help with the Car show and we all come out ahead with it. Our town of Iola is a very prosperous community (at least all the organizations) from this. I have been working this since 1975, back when we had it in the parking lot by the Krause building, (much smaller building back then too). Unreal how it has grown!

No need to send a PM. It is per person: one egg, one banana, a dash of salt, and a dash of cinnamon. Cook in a little oil/butter in a skillet. Keep the pancakes SMALL, they are very fragile. I have been cooking them in a cast iron pan but suggest a non-stick skillet. The key is a slightly overripe banana, you mash the banana, blend in the egg and salt and cinnamon, and start cooking. I have found them to be so sweet you do not need syrup or anything other than fresh fruit. I had a fried egg with mine this morning...... and still not hungry.

Made two batches of strawberry jam, so BF quit your b!tchin!
