Lost two more of the keets as expected. One more is on its way over the rainbow bridge to guinea heaven. All lavenders.... They seemed fine yesterday when ET brought them in the house. Wonder if something happened when they were catching them ???? I'll have to put in a thermometer but by their actions it looks and feels plenty warm.
Poor babies !! I see that they must be eating cause they sure are Pooping !!

Good god not fleas again.......

We did the flea battle two years ago....... I had ALL the animals on frontline and it did NOTHING. So I was bathing the dogs once a week, treating them with frontline, program, AND capstar...... shall we say this was VERY expensive!!!!!! On top of that daily vacuuming, flea powders, DE in the wood floors, washing dog beds weekly...... I never thought it would end..... and then, thankfully we ended the cycle permanently. I believe it took us three months once all the animals were on the same drug cocktail at the same time.

Cuties, the mineral/metal concentration in your water is vastly different than what Ang has. Frenchie you might yet be in the super hard water area without the high metal content, or you are riding the edge of it.....

It could warm up a few degrees!!! Swimming is not pleasurable when it is cold outside!

I have a well. My pool is tiny. One of those with the blow up ring. But hubby puts in chlorine, and runs a small pump. Covers with a tarp, and no issues

Sounds like someone is here. ET just yelled Yeah !!!! after I heard someone yell out CHUCK !!! He came in the house, did you call me.... NO someone else did. Turns out it was the Macaw Montana... naughty boy !!! For a minute there I thought I had to get dressed and go out side !!!

Today is a lazy day....

I kicked front line to the curb a few years back. Every time we took the dogs running, I ended up picking ticks for hours! My sis and close friend had their dogs extract tic disease while on it. I went round and round with the vet. I must have let them swim/getrainedon/bathed the dogs too soon. I give limes shot, garlic, hartz flea&tic shampoo. Wammmooo! No more fleas and ticks!

Got a call the other day from the cardiologist. I finally went and had the blood test done. They called to tell me my BUN was 31 and it was 13 last year ???? Wonder what now ??? Excuse for my laziness ???? If it ain't one thing it's a couple dozen of another.

I should be cleaning litter boxes and getting garbage ready. Dump is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Oh wth ... it can wait til Saturday when I'm at the spay clinic ET can take it.... We have an enclosed trailer to store it in but P U !!! Double bag and it should be fine.

Oh and Cuties..... I know all about the kinking the hose while adjusting the sprinkler..... been doing it for years but some how it just manages to leak all over your shoes, pants and makes you have to head to the bumper of the closest vehicle to have to Peee !!!!! Something about water you know !!! LOL

I'm gonna see if I can mount it on a movable post so it goes further. It was a cheapo from Aldi's which I usually like their stuff but maybe this one is malfunctioning. Or my water pressure isn't high enough to make it move the way it should. Doesn't help with long hoses with leaks and holes !!!!

Very few ticks on my dogs this year. Thanking the guineas for that one. Just one or two in the beginning of the season. My new doggy Cali had a tick on her nose the day we brought her home from the humane society !!! And she was just in WI for about 48 hours !!! I should maybe donate some guineas to the humane society to run in their yard. To bad they are in town on a busy hwy !!! lol

I read on the package of Frontline that you have to wait 48 hours to apply after they've been bathed. The skins natural oils need to spread the frontline around.

Now the big question is, do chickens, ducks, peafowl or guineas and horses, donkeys, goats and pot belly pigs get fleas ? If so are they the same kind as dogs and cats ?????
Years ago my Doberman got tapeworms. Vet said from eating most likely the baby bunnies the neighbor said he would eat !!!! So if you think fleas are gross, have a dog with tapeworms !!! I don't think my house was ever cleaner !!!! I was so grossed out.... That was 25 years ago..... now not much grosses me out other then lilly pads or seaweed grabbing ahold of my leg and trying to pull me under !!!
