Corid....Actually it should be 1 tsp per gal..and if i figured corectly it comes out 1/8 tsp per 2 cups. Also there is no egg withdrawl when using corid. once mixed it is only effective for 24 hrs. good luck!

That is what I thought but that would depend on the strength. I'm pretty certain I had 9% amprollium last time, and this time is a 20% amprollium. Why do they have to switch crap up? I should just order crap online so I know exactly what I get every time!

2 out of 3 of my chocolate orp chicks died from coccidiosis, but the 3rd is hanging in there! I use sulmet to treat them though, I've never used Corid. My situation is probably different than everyone elses. I happened to put them in the lawn in a pen not thinking about the fact that the older chickens hang out there all the time and have contaminated the wet, warm ground! Lesson learned.

I saw in terris post, there is a maintenance dosage. Do any of you do that? Id be curious to give it a wirl. Kinda lime using medicated chick starter. Just to give them a leg up in this weather. Can you give corrid in a metal waterer? Although, I do not think it would work here unless I emptied the ponds. They always drink out of them. Even tho I tried blocking them with wire. I think they like the water falls.

I loose track of chickens with names, so those 2 were your clucks?

If so maybe the problem was in dosing them at all, my limited experience with clucks is that their systems are pretty messed up, not eating or drinking normally, little movement, high nest heat, bitchyness that rivals my ex-wives,,,,just sayin'

Lol pass the chewba! so it appears it MAY be 1/2 tsp per gal for powdered and 1 tsp per gal for liquid...cant find it on any medical sites only chicken sites. i did read that studies in cows no adverse affects fron over dose thank goodness. also using at higher dose..mine still had cocci after treating twice for 5 days

cuties..prevrntive dose in water is the same as feeding medicated feed..and more work..also shouldnt be used in metal waterers...

also not suppossed to give any supplements when treatinv as corid is a thiamine blocker and supplements can make corid ineffective.

That's what I have. That's what I made. I gave a drop directly to Sugar and Peepers. They are now both dead. I have to go set up a heat lamp now on the remaining babies and make sure I have the right amount of Corid in the waterer. Answers ASAP greatly appreciated so I don't accidentally kill the chicks.

WTH? What did I miss? Why are you medicating new moms and their chicks?

3 words: Medicated chick starter. Couldn't be any simpler.
