Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

TERRIO - is there any word on you and Jim getting together? (never mind bigfam)
off to Antigo now to pick up my auction wins. BBL

Colton, I got a shipment of 30 Cornish X from Meyers on Wednesday. There was 31 in the box and 1 was dead. A weak one passed in the night. The other 29 are absolutely bouncy! They are VERY good about giving credit or replacing chicks there. Last shipment I had no dead, but they messed up my order and sent me a wrong breed. They credited my account for the 4.00. On that one I did have to send them a picture.

I also had the power outage. Went out during the storm and came on early this morning. I slept through the storm like a baby. The worse thing about it was trying to keep the chicks that arrived yesterday morning warm.

Big fam having a hissy fit: when I get my new chicks I'm not even going to tell you guys about it it. Not a curious mention? Not one? Apparently if I'm not being a smart @ss my posts aren't remembered or mentioned. Thanks for CC who mentioned it. But everyone else not giving a crap? Yep, I'm wearing my flipping crabby pants today.

Oh boo-hoo! I think you've been getting spoiled with those stretchy pants of yours. Time to strap on your big girl pants and suck it up. No, they don't give a crap about you. Get over it.

And speaking of not mentioning things, BIGFAM, I did ask you which one of your lavs died, the barred one or Chunky Monkey. Did you respond? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

BBP, the goopieness is more likely due to an upper respiratory tract infection. Very, very common in ferals.

See Sandi? Hitting the enter key does wonders, doesn't it?

so, I will try this again; posting picts.. ect. I emailed the breeder to get their response on what HE is... I got nothing.
He could be an ameracauna or he could be an olive egger... sigh... I think he is cool as heck. but I wish they all still had their leg bands on!! I can't tell the black copper marans from the OE"s and it is driving me crazy. Of course No ONE is laying!! not even my usual crew. well 3 of the 8 are

so what the heck?

So this guy, I think is a black copper maran roo...... There are 2 more like him and one totally black with greenish feathers. that one has a really small comb and is crowing.. ..

All the picts I look through, the boys all look like either... black copper maran and OE......anyone got a blue ameracauna roo to compare?? I think this one is that below... any thoughts???

thanks for the help !!

I let all 29 of them out to free range yesterday, they all thought they were in one big *** chicken party!! LOL

Quick question, what is the scoop on worming? Do you automatically do it at some time during the year? Wait till you find them, I don't know what I am looking for. I see the stuff on the shelf at Farm and Fleet and have seen occassional mention of worming, but have no idea if it is ALWAYS required or when to do it. Is it like putting the stuff on the dog for fleas and ticks in the spring/summer/fall and heart worm meds in the summer cause thankfully mosquitos. tics and fleas are not around technically November to March...
