Thanks BBL4, but I think the chicks are probably too old. Don't they need to be only a few days old for that to work? Not sure though. I am caging today, since they are both getting really skinny. When they first started I should have just gave them each a couple eggs.

We LOVE duck eggs. They are great and make terrific omlets. We have fed them to a few people who have never tried them before and they all loved them also. The whites are thicker and the texture cooked is fluffier than chicken eggs. Delicious!! I like them better than chicken eggs.

I can sure tell that was Hurley's pen...SS dog pails for water!

I am staying home today...just got back from Walgreen's to stock up on cold medicine. They have a racket going there. Name brand is only .20 more than the store brand...but if you buy the store brand you can buy another at half price! I guess you have to hope to get sick again before it expires? I bought 2...I fall for the marketing scheme every time!

Someone stole my moms exstension ladder last night and of course it is homecoming weekend...... what the heck is wrong with people? Stealing ladders ar 3 AM?

Anyhoo... made potato soup with ham hocks tonight. Made buttermilk chive biscuits and pumpkin bars to fill out the meal. I miss having time to cook.

Bought a new edition for the new tank. I think it is fitting.

Just read far too many posts to remember much except I am sorry Terri that you don't feel well. Unlike some folks on here, I won't make fun of your misery (they are doing a much better job than I could ) but I hope you feel better soon

I was going to go to art on the square in Crandon today but it never got warmer than the 40's here with a good wind. Hope Frenchy had a good time at Bonduel. Bet it was warmer there.

My poor little Aussies finally making headway on the cocci, the little one had just quit expelling bloody intestinal lining and I lowered the amprol so this morning I find more blood with a huge round worm in it! so I find out its ok to use wazine and amprol at the same time so I load up their water. Boy does that stuff work fast! By mid afternoon the little girls were expelling piles of round worms! how the little one is even surviving all of this is beyond me but this evening she was actually perched on their play tower chattering away for the first time! I finally got the 125mg Albon tabs today. I was supposed to give them tomorrow but I might wait till Monday. I am so thankful I was able to consult professionals to guide me threw this. It's been a great learning experience and I now have hope the Aussies might actually recover. Thrive?? Time will tell. It's amazing what the little one has already survived so she's one tough little bird. Maybe she was meant to be the mother of my hoped for flock of quality Aussies.
