Just read far too many posts to remember much except I am sorry Terri that you don't feel well. Unlike some folks on here, I won't make fun of your misery (they are doing a much better job than I could

) but I hope you feel better soon

I was going to go to art on the square in Crandon today but it never got warmer than the 40's here with a good wind. Hope Frenchy had a good time at Bonduel. Bet it was warmer there.

My poor little Aussies

finally making headway on the cocci, the little one had just quit expelling bloody intestinal lining and I lowered the amprol so this morning I find more blood with a huge round worm in it!

so I find out its ok to use wazine and amprol at the same time so I load up their water. Boy does that stuff work fast! By mid afternoon the little girls were expelling piles of round worms!

how the little one is even surviving all of this is beyond me but this evening she was actually perched on their play tower chattering away for the first time! I finally got the 125mg Albon tabs today. I was supposed to give them tomorrow but I might wait till Monday. I am so thankful I was able to consult professionals to guide me threw this. It's been a great learning experience and I now have hope the Aussies might actually recover. Thrive?? Time will tell. It's amazing what the little one has already survived so she's one tough little bird. Maybe she was meant to be the mother of my hoped for flock of quality Aussies.

Poor babies! I hope the cocci clears up SOON!!

Another threat of frost tonight from the weather guy. It really does feel colder than it was for the last frost warning (no frost that night) so we covered everything we wanted to continue to grow. My red peppers are just starting to turn so I'm most concerned about those. I just love me some red peppers!!! The chickaroos are all snuggled in so tight that it's hard to count heads to make sure they're all inside.

Well, Looks like I lost my post..... Had a good start on my adventurous day.... guess not meant to be tonight... That's ok, I'm beat !

I've been home now for about an hour. Long long day.....I'm gonna just say I'll be back tomorrow to update you all on my Bonduel Founders Day shopping spree and my Amish tour to the chicken farm !!!!!

I'm headed to bed.....I'm beat ! Night all !!

vicki... Hope your little birds have no lasting effects from the worms! When my girls had them, the one that had them the worse never quit recovered. She went for another year but never laid again and never put on a good weight. But she was 2 when she got them. Glad yours are feeling better now that those nasty things are gone!

Well, Jon and his boss are in Iowa spending the night at the house Jon (1/2) owns there. Then in the morning is the push to Texas. They will spend about a week there, doing work on the shop and making sure everything is set for that Fair run, then they leave it for another guy to run and head to North Carolina. Jon said if he can he will try to get back for Thanksgiving but other wise it will be sometime in Dec.

Well, better try to get to bed early (for me), got help to finish the coop coming...... Night All!

Wow...first post of the day, at this hour...everyone must be sleeping in! Yesterday was crazy busy.... Soccer game in the morning, kidsctirthday party around lunch, then we ditched that early to go to an anniversary party then flag football in the afternoon. Busy day! Looking forward to a nice day of yard work, cleaning chicken coop, going through the garden to harvest what is left.
Chickies are doing good. Not a ton of eggs...already slowing down ????

morning everyone!
All my chooks are alive and appear well this morning . Just the very tiniest bit of blood in the poop of both Aussie girls. (No more yucky critters so far) The other girls got valbazen yesterday and their roostbox poop all looked good this morning, tho I do understand that this one works slower.
Thank you chicklady, Irish and Frenchy for the good wishes, it really does seem I am finally making progress. Again, I can only hope the little one can totally recover from this double whammy. I hope Terri worms the other pullets from this hatch she said were smaller too as soon as she feels better.

I will be so glad when all this is over. I am spending WAAAAY too much time staring at poop!!!

Frenchie - Albon is an antibiotic that is also effective against cocci but normally only used in difficult cases like mine. It's a one pill in the morning, one at night for one day thing. Which aught to be real interesting since these two run screaming if I even stare at them too long! :cd.
They have figured out tho that when I walk up to their fence usually means I have something yummy. But, try to touch them? They scream bloody murder!!!

Not as cold this am as I expected. It was 29 when I went to bed but 33 early this morning. Hubby said we had clouds at 4 am when he took the pup out. Wonder how cold it will get tonight.

Well, time to get back outside and collect all those beautiful eggs we can't eat. Have a blessed Sunday everyone
