Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good Sunday morning everyone!

Hope all who went to the show had a great time ( but I'm sure you did!!!)

Those of us left behind are expecting FRENCHIE size reports!!! :D

Yesterday's wind took out the power for several hours, again :th fortunately it came back on just before dark. They announced earlier this year that we were number one area in the state for power loss ( no kidding) and work is supposed to start next year to upgrade and bury the lines.

As for chicken news - I don't know yet if one of my young red sex-link layers is having a problem getting her "egg factory" in sync, was effected by the IB more then the others, worming threw her out of whack, or all of the above. :idunno. I know it's the same girl laying whopper double yolk eggs, spotted eggs, soft-shelled eggs, no shell eggs in no particular pattern. She was laying fine, except for the occasional whopper, until a couple weeks ago.
Debating on the next round of worming for the Aussies. There's no question another round is needed for them, I'm just not sure whether to follow with the valbazen or another round of wazine. Thoughts on the subject appreciated.

Well on the second cuppa so it's time to go let the girls out. BBL

Here are the pics of my 5 birds (3 blk.orp, 1 lav.orp, and 1 blrw). Also included are pics of my 2 hatchlings on their first "outdoor" excursion! Let me know if you can ID their breed. The options for the black one are cuckoo maran or jubilee and the options for the yellow one are buff orp or red star.

You might as well study up on "prolapse" if this is happening already on a young sex link my money says she will have the problem at some point,,,,hopefully later than sooner. Lost 2 of my 1st ten BLS's to it.

Ouch. Thanks for the warning Dan. Hope you're not right but if you give it some thought, it makes sense. Already have prep H in my first aid kit.

I just got home from the show. I will post pictures later..

Thank you everyone for all the well wishes..

I am pretty happy about the results!

I had a bird on Champion row and three other BB and BV's.
