Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Your silkies are drying..I am not bringing the black Orp..He decided he wants to be with the baby's and has been under heat. I have no idea why he decided on the heat lamp..but i would be afraid to take him off it now. He feeds the chicks so we will make arrangements at a later date. If he helps the chicks for another week or two while I gradually take them off heat he will be good to go. They all sleep under his wings..too cute. I might have to send him with one of his adopted baby's.
Awwww, that is so sweet. Sounds like my Jack. I sure miss him.

Cindy is back!

Glad it wasn't anything serious, and way to go on figuring your computer issues out.

I missed you too.

Good morning all! It is not too bad out there...but I sure wish it was sunny....oh well. Good job on the apple crisp CC! I think I have some ice cream....
Welcome back Cind...yeah, I hear ya on that "expert" thing! Good job! Better watch out now though...you might have a new title of the tech geek at your place.

Just what you needed, another job!

I guess I better get off of here and at least get the big chunks off of the floor so CC doesnt get her wheels stuck...maybe make a better path on the porch too! CC you can hold Tommy when you get here and that can help with the Jack loss....so sad.

See you guys later...hey, why isnt JJ coming too?

Cind, welcome back! Maybe the bird could be an albino hawk. Very rare. I saw one once on a trip with my ornithology class in college and my prof was super excited to see one.

Cuties, did the duck return? I have one missing now this morning. WTH. Missing duck syndrome is like a cold going around.

He did not :'(
Mine are very regular. If their not in the coop at night, I know.
Sorry about yours! This sucks! It is hard to loose them. He was my fav duck too.
What kind was yours?

ilovemysilkie, TerriO is hosting a little autumn shindig at her place for chicken Cheeseheads.

Ahh, BL4, he is a black and white Springer. My aunt and uncle had to search high and low to find their black and whites, most are liver/white. Good dogs, just too high energy for me.

Hope your duck shows up cuties!
ohhhh XD

Cind you could have seen an Osprey, they are pretty light colored.

I hate missing out on the party, but kind of glad I am missing driving in this weather!

I spoke with a professional dog behaviorist today and was happy to hear I am doing most things right. She also just wanted me to know that his true personality would emerge by the time two weeks have passed. So now we just continue on and see what happens. She also said to change his name, he will associate the bad times with his name so since he really does not respond to his name that should not be too difficult.

One cup of coffee is just not enough in the morning.......

Windy Afternoon All... great job with the springer mel....a dog locked in the closet is so wrong....glad you are giving him a chance at life! Some people shouldn't have pets or children, in my opinion. Keep up the effort, sounds like he is gonna be saved for sure...way to go!

Lisa you brat....rub it in some more....I hate Wis crappy weather most of the time...like today.

Welcome newone....hope you enjoy our thread...good folks here to help if needed.

Yep huntress, I'm in the stand way more hours than it should take. No better place to be for me, than in the woods. Hope the freezer ends up full for your family. It's crunch time now, and the best hunting is on! You just never know when the harvest is gonna happen? Makes being out there, so much fun...even when you're old! Patience is the key.

How can it be Sunday tomorrow? The toilet paper roll must be towards the end.

Peace...bigz

I can't use the toilet paper roll to determine the day of the week around here. Too many little bums to wipe. Unless they start making a double-quintuple roll size...

cuties, she was a Khaki Campbell. I have 3 left. I set up the gamecam and will be putting out the livetrap.

My visitors are back on the road. We had a great visit. I was able to send home 2 big squash and one little one! That much less to cook for me.
wee.gif
Although that squash soup I made the other day was FANTASTIC! I will be making that again for sure. And heck, the recipe says it freezes well! Double bonus.
Brent, CS said that she is saving the seeds so she will have some next year too! Maybe your Hubbard variety will soon cover the whole state! At least the vines will.....

Getting dark--guess it's time once again to feed critters. Have a good night everyone! TErriO
