Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

CC, did I miss something? Is that for your pineapple allergy? Great link too BTW, you never know if you will need an EPI!

Jim, glad to have you back.

The dog behaviorist is coming today!

Hopefully she will give Dexter a good evaluation and he will be on his way to his foster home.
No, you didn't miss anything, Mel. When we were by Terri's (where you & Bigfam should have been)

, we were talking about food allergies and how I seem to be developing more of them the older I get. One of them I found about on Christmas one year, and I really wish I would have had an epi with me. Not the way I wanted to spend a holiday with a houseful of people.

Good luck with Dexter! You saved that guy.

Cind, I forgot to say that I'm glad your cat is getting better.

Nice pics everyone. Thanks for taking time to share. E ven when folks don't comment, they are lookin for sure.

I'm fricken happy that you saved this nice spaniel bl4. Again...way to go makin a real difference for him. he's gonna be a happy boy! It's important for him, I'm bettin.

Good luck to the gun hunters here, and congrats to those of you that bagged a bow deer.
They can make you feel humble at many times...many times!

Peace..bigz

Seed tapes - we made those for my aunt way back when. She would buy the unsold packets of seeds, then when we were bored she would take out the supplies and we would make seed tapes for her for spring planting. I think we did that at Easer when we all gathered for the holiday. I believe she used paper towels and cut the roll into 1" wide rolls. She gave each of us kids a roll, a seed packet, a tape measure (from her sewing basket), a tweasers (for tiny seeds) and a bowl of flour and water paste. A dab of paste on the paper towel at the planting interval and a seed stuck into it. She let them dry, then rolled them up and put them in labeled baggies and stored them in the basement (cold but not freezing) until spring planting.
Now this sounds like a PERFECT activity to do with the Watertown sisters on New Year's Eve! Yes I am doing an overnite there that night...HMMM--probably the first night I will miss the party at my friends' house...Heck, maybe I will take the girls there and then we can ALL do seed tapes! LOL!

Yeah...must be the skinny BO's that Jim has....really? I had no idea that there were different kinds of the same type of chicken. I just thought the show ones had better feathers? I love this pic of him Lisa...saw it on FB and was so jealous that you have a grand baby to love on! (at least the job I got today has a baby) and the 2 I am interviewing for this weekend do too!

I'm in the newspaper!!!!! My request for chickens & bees made it to our town newspaper today.

Chickens and bees

Kendra Heffelman asked the city to consider changing local ordinances to allow chickens and bee keeping. She said on Nov. 12, the Lake County board voted in favor of a new ordinance permitting chickens and bees in unincorporated Lake County. She said they did a thorough review of the issue and she suggested the city look at that ordinance and do some research on the issue.

Sclark-LOL with the Greek names

Your welcome to all of you with epi pen expenses

Bigz-sorry that you didn't get your catch!

Wish I could meet with you all this weekend, but a friend of mine just had a double mastectomy and coded on the table. She is finally home after being in ICU for 3 days and regular room for 2 days. However, she has to go back in this Wednesday to finish the reconstruction process and I want to spend some time with her.

Scary stuff, cs. I am glad your friend is doing better. And congrats on making the news, in a good way, of course.

Jim.... good luck on your seed tapes!

BigZ.... sorry you missed out this year

Jim, I think you were right about that fall! I feel way worse now than when it happen! I sure hope the pain has peaked now and I start healing! To much to do to baby an injury. I have been taking aspirin everyday to help prevent clots since it seems to be an internal bruise. And of course, with all the weather changes I picked up a cough...... that's not helping!

OK, enough of my whine.

Chickens seem to be OK, Jon's friend is coming over in the morning to help set up some winter quarters for the roosters, till butcher time. Those poor hens are going nuts with all those roos!

Guess that's it.... night all!
