Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

BL4 I like your winter pictures...especially the ones with the little frostsickles.
The plant with the red berries might be Bittersweet.

I thought bittersweet right away when I saw it. I bought a plant but I found out later one needs both a male and a female plant. Funny the nursery man didn't mention that when I bought it. The robins LOVE nesting in it every spring.

Heather, yeeees, it does look a smidge tricky doesn't it? Well after starting and restarting my daughter's skirt maybe 4 times, clearly I have no respect for the term "in over my head" so I think I'll be ok. I got my yarn yesterday so I'll let the (First) starting begin this aft!

Delisha, you chose that handle with good reason I think! That cake looks awesome! I keep trying to take a bite out of my monitor!

Finished first round of plowing for this storm and it's starting again. Making everything so pretty.

Chickens not happy about all the snow either.

Maybe some chili for supper.

I've decided to try to go gluten free for a month to see if it makes a difference in DS behaviors (and my aches and brain fog). Crossing my fingers, we need some changes and I'd like to try first before going to medications. Looks like that'll be our next step.
Now this I have had experience with! It is very hard to do also. Especially if you have family and go out to eat! That is the biggest pain of all--explaining to servers! It is supposed to help all of those things Amyb so I hope it does the trick for you too! Check out some good sites about switching over and watch out for that hidden Gluten! Good luck to you too...just remember everyone, smoking a cigarette or eating Gluten is like taking a big bite out of a chunk of rat bait you have out in the coop!

Packer Sunday All....hoping for a win today....GO Pack!

Don't know how many of you have seen this....worth sharing for those that haven't!

That was a very neat video Bigz--maybe I should contact her on how to make $$$ with my chickens eh? Obviously there IS a way!

Yes that plant is Bittersweet. Poisonous I believe but oh so pretty in fall arangements! If you have the native stuff it is illegal to pick it...but if it is the imported kind gone wild you can because it is considered an invasive species. Only problem is that they are virtually identical! Pick when the leaves are on and the berries arent open, hang up side down to dry. Then you can pick off the leaves or not and display. I used to have it running all along the beams of my Living Room...very striking until it starts collecting cobwebs!

OK--I have an unusual observation. Just listened to the song "Frosty the Snowman." "With a corncob pipe and a button nose..." Didnt Frosty have a CARROT nose? Now I am going to have to look that up!
Guess I oughta head out...now that it's dark! Only 58 days til spring!
Stay warm--TerriO

ETA: That was some quick chili making JJ!

I need spikes on the bottom of my boots..that trail to do chores is slipper as can be..I lost two containers of water trying to catch my footing...Now it is a sheet of ice in one spot so I shoveled out a new path..lol

Casha did chores with me again today..It takes me twice as long, but worth it. She just loves to do chores.

It sounds like many of you have Christmas plans all going well. I have a party to go to today.

I talked to Joe today about stopping smoking and doing some child care..He said yes so I have a new goal..I need to purchase a few of those smokeless duhickys and stop smoking. It in print now..no backing out. Wish me luck.
Congrats and Good Luck! Is Joe quitting too? Your cake looks delicious!

For the past 2 days we're getting 2 eggs a day, woo hoo! The chickens are enjoying spent grains, FF, spaghetti, and string green beans.

Did Christmas shopping for stocking stuffers today, I'm all ready for everybody but my dad. Any ideas? He's 70.

Joe wants to quit..He is not ready. He did say he will not smoke in the house..I am grateful for that. I think if he stops smoking in the house it will help him at least slow down. He smokes more than I do if that is possible. He always has something hanging out of his mouth..

He is yelling at the TV and I am finally caught up on shoveling. ...

I am gearing up for no smoking..holidays and smoke free..I should be pleasant to be around..

It really is pretty invasive. I have it in a small plot that is surrounded by sidewalk and garage and it pops up on the other side of the concrete. Mine doesn't get berries so I don't know how it's managing to get over there. I keep yanking it out and trimming down the original when it gets above the trellis.
