Sunny Afternoon At Least!...I agree that's a good looking cake Angiebubs, however I wasn't able to count the candles...prolly 20 or so I'm guessing.

Have a safe and warm trip TO. I prolly would look for year round housing and never come back to this winter wonderland (wonder why I live here). Just think no frozen waterers or vehicles that always start....

Need to make a corn run tomorrow..I've been giving a double dose of treats with boss during the cold snap. Suzie fried up some venzun liver for the girls and even cut it up for them.....and there it is...gone.....they were licking their jops and enjoyed ever bite...spoiled birds. The brahmas really like the warm meat. If the eggs taste like liver, then it's kinda like steak and eggs in one...

what a long day this is turning out to be.. If I had some fire wood cut, I would go out to the shop and tinker a bit.. I already burned up all my kindling and mistakes ..

Annie has to be to work by 5.. then I am going to take back the kitchen and make a batch of caramel/pecan rolls..

Dora is getting bigger tits, so I think the puppies are not far off.. I put a dogie bed on the floor for her, she avoided it as if it was going to eat her.. I know what she has in mind.. THE COUCH !!

the Blazer won't start.. I know that the battery terminal is loose.. but I am not going to tighten it until it is at least plus +15 degrees outside,,,, the battery is fully charged .. I checked the date on it.. Feb of 2008 .. I hate side mount terminals ..

Brent, you could give the chickens some onions too.. Liver and onion eggs ..

Dan, did you have to kick any ducks loose today ??

well, my first attempt at caramel rolls looks like a success.. I did not taste them yer..

as I was tipping the pan upside down, the rolls came out too soon and I missed the cooling rack with a few.. no problem ? just take a finger and push them back on.. right ,, then get super hot caramel on your finger . don't wipe it off on your pants,, hell no.. stick it into your mouth.. yeah, now I have a blister on my lip where the hot caramel stuck.. that kitchen should be a hard hat area ..

I am soaking my lip with cold beer.. after enough of those, I should be out of pain, soon ..

I just heard footsteps overhead,, GS must have smelled the rolls ..

Jim, you kill me....

Had a face-to-face interview today for the PT job....... I think I would like it. I would like the paycheck that goes with the FT job too....... we shall see what happens. I hate the waiting game...

Ducks are getting evicted tomorrow. I have enjoyed having them here but they have not decided they should attempt to escape their pen. Good thing they are not very good at flying vertically. The dogs and cats have enjoyed having them in the house. They make for good entertainment!

Ugh, I caught some kind of bug over the weekend and I can't seem to shake it (or this is the longest hangover ever....). It is really irritating to be mildly sick...... I would rather be knocked flat out or not be sick at all!


Oh yes, one other thing. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRI! Enjoy your trip!

I do find it difficult to believe you have finished burning up all your mistakes. At least in the kitchen, you can eat them.

Lost a hen yesterday. I will be looking for a couple Ameraucana pullets, she was the last of the "true" ones

Maybe 2-3 of each Welsummer and Ameraucanas.

Jon I guess will be back on the road in a few days. He wasn't going to have to go until late Feb. but his boss want him to help inventory and get things ready for a Florida show or Ren. Fair or something, Then go do it with him. By that time it will be when he was going to start. My baby is going away again!

D@mn.... more fire stoking and bringing in wood for me.

Speaking of red robin, guess what i saw on my way into work on Tuesday? A robin, all fluffed up and sitting in the doorway out of the cold. I thought maybe it would be emaciated enough I could catch it and bring it indoors, but no it flew away. From the looks of the poo, appears it has been surviving on those little red ornamental crab apples. Poor thing, then maybe I just saw the first robin of the year and Spring is on the way?
BTW how are your seed tapes turning out?
