I have a question for you bantam experts..
what would be a very meaty type of bantam ?
how long does it take for a bantam to become fully grown ?
guineas are dark meat birds.. try them instead of chicken..

I would consider getting a pair or trio or more hens and hatch the eggs,, they don't have to be show quality..
are these hybrids, or would they breed true ..?

Quote: I already looked them up.. they look just like the regular sized cornish..
quite expensive in the chicken catalogs..
makes me think I might just breed a bunch of barred rocks and butcher them at 2 to 3 pounds..
cost = $$ next to nothing $$
or I could get some regular cornish / rocks and butcher them early.. then they would be very young chickens compared to a full grown bantam ..
