Four HUGE cabinet incubators!
Dang you really could have said something that your visiting Jim! Would have really liked to meet you AND wisdom well Jim !
Instead I had to deal still most of the day with the brat (thanks for your Yes, Jim!) and decided to dig through his junk pile and hope to find some fencing. I did find a little bit, staked it and brought the bigger little duckies outside for the first time. They start to turn white now so I thought it would be the perfect chance before more of the wet stuff drowns us out this week. And they had a blast! Speeding around, taking small baths in their water dish (of course), inspecting the curious chickens and a couple of the dogs (the small ones) and sleeping in the sunshine before discovering that grass and tree frogs are tasty! Lol
Meanwhile SO fixed his car and found that my power steering hose is leaking (yet another hose, Jim). Just great. Not! I'm just gonna have to drive around with that til we can scrounge up some pennies to get another one. Such is the joy around here.
So I sat outside, trying to contain myself to not explode and strangle the brat while watching the ducklings have fun and keeping the circling eagle away.
Now the day is coming to an end and we're heading towards a warmer week but still full of rain. Urgh. I'm so ready for this weather to finally straighten out!
And since we didn't get an email from Holderread our duckling order should probably come next week then. Another week of patience needed. While Cackle Hatchery took a full 2 weeks (!!!) just to ship some electrolytes out! Not impressed...
Next Saturday the animal swap in Ladysmith and the week after in Neillsville. And during that time I gotta straighten out the brats dog again, since he was being spoiled again to the max and is going all back to his former self again. Lovin it right now...
