I have started bator #3.. it seems to be all stable and humidity is almost up where I want it .. it could go a few % higher for my liking ..

I got one hatching tray done today.. it is in the bator staying warmed up, getting ready for the eggs.

the rooster died this morning.. too late for electorlytes now, eh ? It seems that once they are picked on and beat up, they just give up..

exposure, exposure, exposure..
you should be taking the dog in with you when you go in with the chickens..
locking it away teaches it nothing .
If the chickens are skittish with the dog around, tough titty on them .. .

Annie keeps asking me if I have enough eggs in the bator,, she just can't wrap her mind around it that I have room for hundreds more ..

Jordan's eggs hatched that I gave him,, he said they were all white .. Delawares .. might be some pure breeds in the bunch.. might be some cross breeds, too..

foxes get very bold when they are feeding their young kits.. and don't expect them to give up until there is nothing left ..that's just how it is ..

what is so strange about fishing for white bass ?

Supposed to get a little bit of warmth and sunshine again tomorrow. Limited time available. Lol. Then it's gonna be all week in the 50's and more rain. What a surprise there! NOT!

Well spent the day hooking up the 220v power to the garage so I can just hook up the monsters the way they are suppose to be. I haven't got them all moved and hooked up yet, maybe before the weekend is over I will. Sold another 2 SS today, they were about 4 weeks old. I plan on taking the rest of my chicks to the Rusk Co. Swap early tomorrow morning. I hope I can sell them all before the next batch hatches. They go into lockdown on Monday. I have 70+ in that batch. I have no room right now and 7 dozen eggs to set. They should hold over that long I hope. The BLRW have been giving me 1-2 eggs a day for the past 4 days. I hope that means they will all start laying soon here again. I talked it over with the hubby lastnight and he will support me if I continue with the notion of starting a small hatchery, yes small! I got another call today for another Amish family wanting me to do massage hatches for them. That's 3 so far with wanting chicks over 300 at a time. As long as I can get the eggs I should be able to fill the request. Well I better get to bed, only a few hours and I have to get ready for the rat race. Swaps are fun but stressful at the same time. Have a good weekend everyone!

Evening all! Happy Friday. Just got home from picking DD13 up from a bday party. She has an early soccer game, so I didn't want her up all night.

G.Pa turned on the air today. What? He said it was too hot upstairs.

Gonna try Theo in the whole side & backyard again tonight. It worked last night so why edit?

Chicks are doing well and hens are laying in the nest box again as momma and chicks are out for the daytime hours.

Brought home a bunch of vegetable seeds from work. Sunflowers have poked up and hop plants are doing well after splitting them up.

good evening, I just came down to turn off the puter,,

Pang brought me 91 more eggs to hatch .
I will be working on that tomorrow.
I do not want to put them into bator #2 because that is where I want only my eggs.. I think I can fit them into bator #1 if I stack them...
I have to modify a couple more egg trays first..
then I will prolly make a couple more hatching trays.. I have to keep these batches separate since they are from two different people..
