Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Angiebubs, is the first and third the same breed? They are super cute!

I have 12 that are LF Salmon Faverolles. Then the brown one came from a project the breeder is working on for Lavender Faverolles. Only 2 hatched-one was lavender and died shortly after hatching (was pipped for close to 24 hrs and struggling). Not sure what breeds she was introducing or working with, with this project. However, since it has twice the feathering of the others, I am assuming its a hen so it doesnt matter LOL. The lil brown one is the calmest sweetest thing ever!

Fish Fry Friday Again....it's a good thing!

Nice pics from everyone. you know it's fun to view them....dang this is fun, eh!

Ton of hours in the gardens today...feels good to get ahead of some of the work..lots to go, but it's on the good side of work to go....

I knew I shoulda stuck my finger in the cake to claim my piece like I said I was gonna ....dang!

Time to fire up the cooker....it's nice that the storm is gonna hold off awhile.... bluegills tonight with more sweet potato fries....they (sweet potato fries) come from Rubys pantry.....a Christian effort to provide food through providers....so folks can enjoy what they need for a small donation.....the donation, is key to their success, and folks on a small budget can enjoy the harvest..

Enjoy Life....bigz

good evening, I cut most of the parts for the door frame..
I took pictures, but some did not take.. had to charge up the camera.
I tried to submit a couple of the pictures that did take, but byc won't cooperate.
I will try again , later.

maybe in a new post things will go better ?

I cut the door shorter, so I had to replace the wood piece in the bottom,, I have it all clued and clamped out there.. By tomorrow the Gorilla Glue should be doing it's job ..

the rough door frame is way out of plumb and square.. I hope I can get the door to go in plumb and level.. it is going to be a tight fit on height, too .. might have to sacrifice some of the sill height..

no more guineas hatching.. tomorrow I will prolly toss the unhatched eggs..

I have 4 dozen fresh chicken eggs ready to go into the bator.. maybe tonight ..

They are pullets. Blue cochins, black jersey giants, speckled sussex.

I think I have a may be a chicken "hoarder" lol I don't have a BJG, and only 1 each of the others....Is it bad that my first thought was "I want!"? Especially when I already have 13 chicks?

So we finally measured the run today and I have 835 sq ft outside (35 sq ft per bird not including new chicks). Overall they have over 1000 sq ft of space between coop and run: About the size of my house when I lived in Cali where there were 5 of us! LOL

My projects this weekend: I am adding chicken wire the bottom 2 ft all the way around the run fencing so the chicks cant get outside of it. The fencing I have around it has 2 x 3 so they sneak out and mom have a fit. 2nd project is to touch up the paint job on the barn/coop from 4th of July weekend and 3rd: Replace bird netting over the run!!! (And this has to be done around a shopping and hair apt in Eau Claire tomorrow!!!)
