Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good afternoon, sold two guineas today.. then the Hmong lady showed up who wants to buy all that I have.. she is still trying to dicker price.. she had to go home and get her DH and some cages.. she said that there were a couple of small ones in the bunch,, I told her that those were the $6.oo ones and the rest were the $10.oo ones I was letting her have for $6.oo.. she laughed and said OK ..

I got all the punky wood off of the trailer and onto the burn pile.. now what to do with the empty trailer ?? sell it ? junk it ? it has a really heavy metal frame,, the wood platform in all rotten..

I need to pull a few planks off the wood pile and then get ready to go to town,, playing in a Texas Hold'em tournament at 5:3o.. I won it a few months ago, so I might as well give some of that money back,, I don't plan on winning again.. but who knows .........

It is cold outside.. I got a bit chilled tossing that rotted wood into the bucket.. might have to switch to long pants and a jacket if this cold weather gets any colder...

FT , those rear window defrosters drain the battery pretty hard,, check for loose or dirty battery cables.. sounds like there is a loose ground somewhere..

Good morning :)
there is a little bit of snow stuck here. I think it will disappear soon enough. We have tickets to the game today. But still no sitter. Hope I find one!
Jim, glad you were able to get all those keets sold.
We still are not getting any eggs. How about you guys? I actually can't wait to get the birds going for fair. But it will be awhile.

Good Morning

chilly here today, been super busy....not sure it ever ends.

Our 4-H banquet is today and we are trying to finish up printing the programs and certificates for the kids.

DD was invited to be part of her friend's Quinceanera- the whole group has been practicing for months and the big day was yesterday- our whole family was invited to attend. Had a good time, very interesting and fun to learn about.

Have a good one

Good snowy morning!
Yes we had a snow front come through last night and got about 2" on the ground. melting fast with the sun being out today, making for duck perfect puddles!

Just had omelet and blueberry biscuits for breakfast. Had a craving for it and decided it's gotta be eliminated before escalating. Lol

Not looking forward to tomorrow as we're supposed to get the first winter storm of the season with upwards of 6" of snow. And of course temps to keep that stuff on the ground too! Guess it's that time of year now...

So funny to watch the chickens hide under the snow free spot under the tractor but the ducks digging and happy dancing in the snow. Lol. Can't stop watching them they're just too funny!

Nothing else new besides that SO is fiddling around in the new barn, making a loft type shelf to store all the cages on for the winter. This way the carport might actually stay accessible for a bit and a car can be parked there too!

That's it for now. Couldn't let Jim and cs and FT keep the thread going by themselves ;)
Later all

Packer Sunday To All....I don't mind the late games either. It is nice to watch football one night a week anyway.

Wild turkey breast for supper tonight, with garden carrots, fresh baked potato, and a fresh ho-made pumpkin pie...I'll eat after hunting while the Pack plays. Hope Cutler gets sacked about a half dozen times, and Rodgers has a good game.

Nothing new here.....would like to bag my buck though.

Later...bigz

I bought 3 bags of organic grapes on Thurday, we had eaten on e, and the other 2 are missing! How does 8 pounds of grapes just vanish out of a persons refrigerator? I thought my brother was playing a trick on me, but he says he wasn't here. The guy with the ducks never showed up. Which is annoying. I suppose I could have called him and let him know I was waiting around for him. Sounds like we should get 6" of snow tomorrow, with no melting temps in sight. He better get a move.

Missing grapes or food in general is a kid thing in my opinion.

I'm also glad for the late game as I just got back a few hours ago from the hospital. Dad is coming home tomorrow and DD12 is also home.

Still not frozen here. We have had snow, frost, etc. but none lasting or requiring scraping or shoveling.

Keep warm up there.
