Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Sometime between 4 and 6:30am something opened the trap door on coop so bundled up and went out. No birds dead but all the meat was eaten out of the trap and I apparently put the camera too high so nothing on there to show what it was. Just wait for the trapper to call this am to come out and set traps. Thankfully all birds are alive though!.

morning everyone...just got the net done and cut now im installing it on the second coop..then will be moving the birds in...and then third and then fourth....grrr only ten pens left to do

Trapper just left, he set 3 live traps. If we don't catch it tonight he's bringing in kill traps. I'm praying we catch it tonight for sure. He seemed to know what he's doing pretty good. He took all the dead birds to use as bait and also to not keep them here for w/e it is to feed one. Hard to dig a hole for them when it's all frozen. Keeping my fingers crossed. At least no losses lastnight!

Dang that sucks Stacy...prolly a ermine or a mink....most of the coons are in hibernation so prolly you can rule them out. I don't think the weather has been mild enough to rile them up. Hope the trapper can get some nice white pelts for his effort.

Annual pot luck at church last night....the food was tasty and the deserts were plenty and demanded seconds.

Prolly take a walk in the woods today. One more for sausage is the plan.

Have fun....bigz

Evening everyone.

Took in sclark's one rooster (named him Manny since he looks brown and fuzzy like the mammoth from Ice Age) and Mr Ducky. Ducky was shy at first but once he heard all the duck talk he was perking up and is now with the big bunch, at least not alone anymore!

SO decided to head over to her tomorrow to check everything and see if he can help improve anything. What are friends for, right?! And yeah, he is on his own BYC account now as "the builder". Guess JIM is getting competition ;)

All settled and ready for the weekend, gonna set up the pools again tomorrow for some mass diving sessions cause SO has decided to muck out the barn while it's warmer. And then gonna see about getting a couple of trees down to cut for fire wood. Oh joy...

Munching on homemade cookies now and fighting my sleepy eyes. Guess I'm gonna give in tho. Later!
