Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Thanks for the update on Zeke. That is so sad. Again Rest in Peace Rick.

Delis those pancakes believe it or not taste very much like regular pancakes. Have them every day. We're eating low carb these days.

Can't wait for hens and ducks to start laying.

TO cute pups. What breed are they?

Someone on my horse fb page is giving away a 5 yr old female blue healer if anyone is interested.
We'll off to make my breakfast....those pancakes.

There's someone on one of my Facebook groups looking for a blue heeler.
I'm in Seattle this week. Yesterday, we drove to olympic national park, all the way to the coast. Saw some elk, sea lions, cool trees. Today we go into the city (to the fish market) and tomorrow we drive down to Portland.

Hope all are doing good. Life has been busy I have been throwing a hello or little stuff here or there but that is about it. Looking to hatch some chicks out soon. Kids are getting antsy. Helping a friend who had some that a friend gave her but she didnt have room so we have a few old english babies we are raising for now. Found a home for the wyandotte roo but now she has a silkie roo. sigh. I want to look at potantially some smaller comb(rose comb etc) on birds as I feel bad when one gets frostbite on their comb. My big roo has some this year and I cant get close to him to vaseline it or anything. He is almost a year now and I still have not seen him do the deed with the girls. Not sure I see a bullseye either... hope he does something!!
Anyone have a smaller comb good layer to suggest to me?
spring sports will be starting soon but I am enjoying the lul in that before planting season starts. Wish i had the set up that some of you have too! Love seeing your chickens and gardens etc.

hope everyone is good

TerriO: Small world. One of my co-workers said he just adopted a dog through the rescue you work with. I can't remember if it was male or female, but it's a black lab. Says he just loves him/her and the dog is attached to his son.

Dominique's, Ameraucana's aand Easter Eggers have rose combs. I know a lot of my roosters have frost bitten combs. Just remember that you only put the Vaseline on the comb to help prevent frostbite. Not suppose to be used to treat it.
I just read that again someplace but don't know where. :(
They say they get frostbite because of the humidity in the coop....at least I think that is what I remember.
To perk up your roos hormones feed him some Vitamin E rich foods or capsule poured on a treat.

Mel didn't you ask them to change the wedding....the Bash is a no miss event...yes you and your gang will be missed. Glad to here that is the reason you won't be there. Don't need any more bad news!
