I never saw a Brinsea ..If weather holds...will clean out the run today. Girls are much more relaxed with the crazy roo around. Will think about introducing the bantams soon. They are 12 weeks old. Not sure if I am keeping two of the pullets. We were given some OEGB chicks that were getting beat up by their full size chicks. There are four. The rooster is a silver duckwing, one pullet could be a silver duckwing but not sure... coloring looks like a muted brown leghorn ( more grey though) but the other two pullets are buffs I beleive. (one darker and one lighter). Does anyone know any OEGN breeders? would love another silver duckwing pullet for a trio.
Otherwise this saturday the first try with the Brinsea incubator will show results. I did not candle (Jimbut had to add some water once for humidity was dropping. It has been a year since hatching and new to brinsea... remind me best lockdown procedures please....
otherwise good news...mom should be coming home from hospital by tomorrow. Still not sure if inpatient or outpatient therapy and we need to think about moving her out of her condo with three stories( laundry and tv in basement, bedrooms upstairs) to a senior apartment or maybe assisted living(She might balk at that one) but she will be coming home with O2 and have to quit her smoking too. I have been playing bad cop for past two weeks here... one of my other sisters keep sneaking her butter and salt. grr.
Anyway...one step at a time.
Hope everyone is good!
Are we allowed to tell you that you are right, oh potentate of poultry.?I never saw a Brinsea ..
3 days before the eggs are due to hatch, I take them out of the egg holders and lay them on their sides.. no more turning,, just wait for them to hatch..
I like to raise the humidity between 45% and 60% //..
I am not going to debate this,, if someone else does it differently, that is OK with me,,
just don't tell me that I am wrong..
Quote: no need to tell me I am right,,
I already know that ,,![]()
