Hi all!

Firstchick... I think the people you were thinking of that you visited as a kid were probably Mennonite. They are much like the Amish.
From what I understand about the Amish (and what they can and can't do/use), there are general rules for all, however, rules for each community are set by the individual churches.

Yup, everyone, it seems I am not getting notifications either.....Had 3 of my 4 kids and their families over here today for my belated 70th. It was a fun time had by all. We are a rowdy bunch when we get together. Everyone tries to talk at once. But, I am pooped out. I think you are right cindylady about the mennonites. That seems to ring a bell.

It's not your fault at all. From what I've read there are no experts when it comes to sexing chicks unless you know how to do the vent thing and even then it's not a sure thing. I'm certain I won't be able to tell one from the other either.

I won't be going to Vegas anytime soon.

happy birthday .. glad you all got together ..

I have a sister who never forgets our birthdays, only once I got a card from her,, 3 months late ..

we had a great time at our niece's wedding yesterday,, today we are having an afterwedding at her mother's house.. just the immediate family nucleus. all six of my siblings and some of their children.. if we all live just one more year, we will all be in our 70's ..

Sunday Afternoon to everyone. Belated Happy B-Day Firstchic...glad you had a good time...and you too Jim....Glad the family enjoys special time together.

Was down to Fond Du Lac yesterday for my buddies annual fish fry....plenty of all you care to eat walleye, perch, and crappie..... 60 lbs of fish served....I even brought home 5.5 lbs of walleye and perch that they didn't need....I love eating fish...so tonight, it's fish again. EAA was kinda nuts with all the traffic.

The Deer flies are awful here today...dang little biting vermin.

Spent the weekend with my kids at my dad's cabin up by Castle Rock Lake. Lovely. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
