Spent the last 2.5 hours in the garden. Tilled between all the rows, weeded several rows again. Even weeded my dill weed. If anyone needs dill for canning, please let me know!! Also put up the fence for the peas to climb. Chickens got the weeds. Going to try and take the kids to the outdoor tonight. Time to go give the flock more water.

We are home from the bash and certainly had a great time! Thanks so much everyone for making our very first bash so much fun! We stayed in a tent and stayed nice and dry!

Hey,who stole the bacon????? Who knocked on the back door?

And, we found the geocache!

What a beautiful place to camp and to have a great time with super new friends!

I am off to make our grilled chicken with Cajun spice!

And, I have two chicks hatched in the bator!

fleet had what I needed, but I am not about to pay $18.oo for less product than I can get for $6.oo online.
since F&F sold out, their store sure has plummeted as far as products are concerned.

I drove to Ace hdwe and bought what I needed for $5.24. still more expensive than online, but I want to use the whacker right away, I don't want to wait a week for the parts to come.

as it turns out, a storm rolled in and out power went out momentarily, it is windy and raining like heII outside. I can't go work on the whacker anyway for awhile.

Went back out and picked over a gallon of strawberries then topped them and got them in the freezer, fridge, and husband. Took the tops back out and gave them to the girls who just love them!!! I think I will call it a day.

Had a blast this weekend! Us girls gave a new meaning to cackling hens last night too. Brent FYI I got home and had 2 broodies, so your eggs are taken care of by the fuzzy butts of thing one and two. Vicky (weegarden) it was so nice to meet you and your family and I'm glad you were able to make it!

What a special Bash this was. New friends, fun, surprises that you don't expect, and a weekend in the woods that will be memories for me, forever....asking for more than that...how could you? It happens once a year... HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT NEXT TIME. We are so blessed, in so many ways....nothing better than a bunch of cheeseheads, eh!

Great news about the broodies....and glad you had a safe trip home...we worry you know! Tell Nathan that we missed him too!

It's all about us as friends...their are so many to mention.....Thanks for a great bash!
