I think I am ready to get up at 4AM and get the puppy to the airport.
I went and bought a larger pet carrier today.
the one we bought last week was for a 10 to 20 pound dog, she is over 12 pounds. but I thought she looked too cramped in there.
the one we got today is large enough for her to use at her new home for awhile..

I better get to bed..

I spent some time on the phone today trying to give my beans away..
no takers..

GG, you better come and pick them and sell them to your fresh veggy customers..
otherwise they are going to go to waste.

My 10yr old neighbor girl said she would weed my garden. HA HA...the chickens are penned up out in the garden area while their new coop is being built. She has more interest in feeding the chickens bugs and worms than she has in weeding my garden.

Found a covered up fire pit in my yard yesterday that the previous owner covered up with dirt just before he moved. Not a big issue except it is right in line with the fence for the new chicken yard. Started digging it up last night and hope to finish today. Previous owner of this house did everything half-assed so I'm trying to get things fixed and normal but it isn't easy.

Jim, I don't know about selling them, but I have some neighbors that might like to have some. Will try to make it over today or Friday.
I think that puppy would be much happier at your house than mine.

Morning all! I've found a swap to go to on Sunday, hoping I leave with fewer than I bring! Lol

I've been pretty busy tiling my kitchen floor, and it doesn't look like a drunken monkey did it so I'm pretty pleased. I report back to work on Monday. I'm not really ready for summer to be over, but I am getting back on a 6:30 am wake up schedule so the adjustment won't be too terrible when I go even earlier.

BTW, is it time for a nap yet??

been there, done that.
we took the puppy to the airport at 4 AM
the girl working the counter was quite rude and not helpful .
she couldn't find where the flight was already paid for.
so I had to call the guy in Oregon and ask him, yes it was. he had a number which he
gave to me. the girl called her supervisor.
still couldn't come up with the info.
neither of them would talk to the guy directly on the phone. (policy).
the supervisor was telling me what I had to do. transfer her directions to him. I said, why don't you tell him so that I don't get it messed up in translation ? I made her repeat it to me. while I held the phone a little toward her without her noticing. when she got done, I asked the guy if he heard all that OK. he said yes. LOL.
when we finally got 99% of the kinks worked out, the snotty girl said. Oh, we have an 84F degree policy and we cannot fly animals if it is going to get that warm,,
ready ???
and it is going to be 84F in Oregon today so we have to reschedule the flight.
after an hour of dinking around, THEN she hits me with this..
why didn't she say so in the first place ?
the dirty mother dog ...
too late for long story short, but we went back at 8 and the puppy flew out at noon.
should get to Oregon at 10PM.
I have to find a PR page to Delta .
I really want to tell them how happy I am with their service..
I also ran into another employee who was real cocky. IDK who he worked for, though.
what's with the airlines anyway ?

well I guess this will be my last post here.
it was fun while it lasted.
the reason I am leaving is because I do not
have any chickens to talk about anymore.
I just sold my last 5 roosters and 3 hens.
the coop is empty for the first time in many years. the light is off, now.
