Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

babylady4 all you need now is ham! Congrats on the first! We have 2 guys at work we call the B sisters. All they do is complain nonstop. About nothing! One is worse than the other only by a little bit. He makes up senarios when he runs out of real things and then B's about it. It's heckarious! If this happens and then this happens then blah blah blah!

I know some of the things that bother him and one is someone using a q-tip. So if I hear that he's been watching me and critisizing I go get a q-tip and go visit with him. Now that's entertainment. There was guy that's gone now and he was the type of guy whose body should never be found. And I knew of about a half a dozen things that really got under his skin and used everyone of them. There was an old lathe right behind where he sat day after day while working that was never used and I use to dispose of my banana peels under it just so he could have a friend or a hundred. See I can have a bad side. But only when forced. Just if you choose to mess with her don't do anything to compromise yourself. I don't tolerate bad people. I feel that if that's the way they want to be then I want to help them live a miserable life. I do actually try to get them to come around at first. I'll do things for them and be extra nice but if they do not show any hope of changing their ways then they go on the bad list and will face my wrath. Anyone hear that music? Pretty scary huh? Anyway back to important stuff. The girls did not like being cooped up today for the first time. But when I went to gather the eggs, add water, and food they all took turns walking over to the half open door and looked out. They had no intentions of going out in the snow and wind. It was nice and toasty in there, having the run door closed all day sure made a difference. I'm holding off on blowing out the driveway till the wind dies down. The Jeep doesn't even know it's there. Thought I 'd save some gas by only blowing it out once. I didn't measure but looks like 7-8" out there, better than the up to 14" they were talking about. Now for the cold. Looking forward to my layoff days [fri. and mon.]. I'll get the driveway done and have some fun with the girls plus a few other things. Maybe it's a good time to make my suet balls. Have a good night!

Good Snow Lovers Evening to all....

Busy day here on the hill trying to get everything cleaned up. Finally late this afternoon the plow came by. I cleaned up the plug job on the bottom of the driveway before it froze.

I added a extra bale of straw for the girls in the coop...the wind is pretty nasty now, and winter is in the air.

The wood heat feels great tonight.

The trimmed tree looks beautiful with the lights on.

Ahhhh...is this heaven here on the hill ?

I had to ask my boss to come over and plow out my driveway, there was to much snow for the snowblower to run through, got a great boss but he will not take anything for doing the plowing so he gets a christmas gift this year, a big plate of homemade goodies

babylady4, the woman's name ain't April Loken, is it???? Her DH works at the foundry too. Bad news, that one. I worked with her at the Baymont and known her for a long time. Talked crap about everyone in the foundry. Started sooooo many rummors!!!!! She started some about me. Didn't last long. As soon as I quit all rummors stopped. Imagin that! Made her look stupid , not to mention the boss who kept her on even though we ALL told her what was going on. All of us quit except one. And I'm not sure what happened but neither her or the boss work there now. Maybe someone finally got smart on her.

Guess I danced a little too hard........just a LITTLE!

I love the snow, but you're right. I could have been spread out in a couple days. The run roof broke. I had plastic fencing and tarp on top of part of it, held up with wood. Wood broke when I was trying to get the snow off, which broke the fencing. All fixed now and shoveled out. What a pain though.

The chickens were funny. At first they didn't want to come out. Not even with treats. Then after a while they got brave and came out. But they would pop out the coop door and JUMP out onto the hay. They wouldn't just land on the ground were the snow was.

It was funny!

Is April married to John? I know John, he used to be a decent fellow.... and I know where he lives.

No it is not April. I will keep the name under wraps since I am still employed there....... but I can't wait for either her to leave or I get to spring out of there. The sad part is she is the only downside to working there; everyone else is a blast and I get along with all of them.

I have a big project due today in Anatomy; we are making our own Wiki sites for our end of semester project. My group is doing ours on Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. I'll post a link when it is finished.

Yep. John. He is a good guy. Too bad his wife is the way she is. It puts a damper on his relationships at work. People have lost a lot of respect for him because of her. Too bad.

Really he is a good guy. And yes. They moved to Wega a few years back. Well-more than a few.

Good luck on your project. Hope you get an A.

Happy day everyone! Happy day!

Good And Cold Enough Evening Here, Eh ?

While my hens are all huddled in their warm corner of the coop, I hope you'all are staying warmer than they are!

The brutal cold with winds are here once again....

Good afternoon kind people! Well the girls had a heck of a day. I made them oatmeal and raisins for B'fast for starters. Then shoveled out the run for them they finally got go outside. As soon as the thermometer hit 32* they came out and started running around and stretching their wings. I was going to shovel off the picnic table for them but didn't get to it till about an hour ago. I happened to look out and here was B standing belly deep in snow on one end of one of the seats. So out I went to shovel it off. We had a bonding moment this AM and it seems to have paid off. I pushed the shovel down the seat till it came to her, she stood her ground. I normally only get away with it if she's trapped but I just picked her up and set her on the other end of the seat and finished the job. Then started petting her all over and she just loved it. She talked and talked the whole time, I'd stop and she'd look at me like hey what the heck keep going. So I did. It was quite a breakthrough for her. Us! She stayed up on the table for 45 minutes watching over the other girls like a Roo until L came home. She is quite the all around girl. The 60 watt bulb did the trick only a little ice in the pan this morning. Classic beef roast in the slow cooker for tonight. Yum!
