I could too or Ive got some started in the 'bator, including Black Copper Marans, and it looks like I just bought a 2nd sportsman, found it on craigslist, a year old only used 4-5 times

I keep thinking maybe I'll hatch out some Emus.... no ordinance against them; they are 'exotics'.....

Well i might be persuaded to find a new home for some pullets in the future, I just started the 'bater last week. so every BCM I get will be going in, right now I've got some MF cochin , buff silkies, serama and spitz's in right now, tomorrow will be MF d'Uccles, Mottled d'Uccles and anything else thats been layed

babylady4, you should hatch an emu or 2. Maybe that would keep those neighbor dogs of yours away. Well- at least those neighbor kids!

Sorry about the invasion of you and your flock today. I just got the exact same information that babylady4 just posted. It came from the sheriffs dept. I don't know why the officer told you what he did. I would give him a call, and remind him of this ordinance. It was truly mis-information on his part.

While nobody is just out to shoot a dog that wanders onto your property. We DO have the right to protect our flocks, as well as our children!

What if her small kids would have entered the coop, simply checking for eggs at the wrong moment?

The Sheriff didn't seem real happy with my ability to protect my livestock. She told me that they needed to be in the coop, and not free-ranging. Again I think this is mis-information and would take this issue to court in a heart-beat. I bet I would win too! My flock has the right to free range on my property. I will protect them.
