That's right Bigz, just call me Amish.
Does that mean I'll have to give up BYC?? It will just have to be one of the more "liberal" Amish sects. Hens and Roos, that link you posted didn't work for me, but I looked up USDA animal traceability and it is basically the same thing, just scaled back (for the moment.) USDA took immense heat for trying to ram NAIS through, but I don't doubt they will try it again sometime. Now we have to peck away at WI's stupid premises ID law - that has to GO!
I got to attend the Raw Milk Bill hearings in Eau Claire yesterday. What a turnout - about 500 people! Raw milk supporters rocked the house
The committee heard testimonies by alternating proponents and opposers (1 for, 1 against, 1 for...) and they could ask questions of the speakers. Pretty much all those speaking against raw milk were gov't agencies, stating raw is too risky to allow. But the testimonies from supporters was amazing - the stories and passion of people asking for food freedom was inspiring. Many supporters had the audience and the committee laughing - like the lady who makes raw milk cheese and sells it as 'fish bait'! (apparently raw milk cheese aged 60 days is legal but if aged less it is not). I just hope and pray the committee and the rest of our reps take this to heart and lift the ridiculous ban on this wonderful food. The current law is obviously not stopping too many people from drinking it. Folks can and should make their own decisions about what they eat.
So excited to see everyone getting babies!! PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hint hint
