Where is everyone?????

Went over to Brainards Bridge and was it packed!!!! Decided the pool at FM was a better plan, and I am nice and crispy for my efforts but it is completely worth it. Nothing better than hanging with your friends and being lazy!

I need to come up with a bigger enclosure for these baby ducks, they are getting too big for the rubbermaid box and they are major poopers so my LR smells funky all the time! A horse trough would be ideal, but I do not think I have enough towels to last more than 2 days with something that big....... I'll figure out something eventually.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Holiday weekend as much as I did. Now, back to the grind......

Good morning! I hope everyone had a great 4th! Ours was quiet...just some brats on the grill and C on the cob...mmmm. OK I am off for county fair judging...probably will be missing for most of the week...lots to do there in my dept and with the horse. Later---man is is HOT! Terri O (PS) nice pics everyone!

The towels don't last long...last year I just kept buying more from the thrift store (old blankets and rugs work too), but this year I'm using straw. I can keep piling on fresh straw and get away with only doing one major cleaning a week.

Woo, happy 4th guys!

Me, DH, DS and a bunch of friends went to watch our room mate race in the Jefferson Speedway. Long drive for us, but fun. Watched fireworks there and DS was a bit scared. Got over it though, and he liked watching the cars smash. We got to stop on the way home and visit our Dr. friend's new house in Ocono, and man is it beautiful. Huge amount of land, he started making an orchard (which i'm really jealous of) and it had a guest house, trout stream and pond, and a boat dock. Beeeeauuutiful! I had dreams of living there I was so jealous haha.

Speaking of wishing of moving, Hubby gave me the green light once we get employment. Some mean lady called the cops on hubby when he was picking blackberries from the trail. WTH? She said he was lighting the trails on fire!!! And that hubby was 15 years old!

Cop came up to him and he was like "All i'm doing is picking some wild blackberries..." Cop said "Yup, your not doing anything wrong" and left.

I'm sorry, but stop calling the cops on someone not doing anything wrong! Peaking through you windows with nothing else to do! Grr.

DH said he was sick of people around here, and wants to move out where theres less of them. I couldn't agree more! Gonna look for houses later

Good Aft. All!!!! Yup Raiquee! People with too much time on their hands or no life of their own.

Will go check my berries shortly between down pours. BCC laughed at the cartoon, thanks you know how much I like to do that. Always like seeing the Mille fleurs they always make me think of a fluffy sweater or rag rug. And those serama chicks couldn't be any cuter! annarie those blue mottled are pretty neat lookin too! Everytime I see pics like that posted I think I need more coops. Bad naughty chicken people! BL4 You asked where everyone was seems to me we were all at Brainards Bridge. 1AM oh you kids! I feel for ya TO too hot and muggy for me. L and I went to Fleet, Kohl's, and Menards yesterday. We got 2 ceiling fans, a media storage cabinet and bunch of other stuff. Bought L lunch on the way home and got a reminder of why we don't eat out much. 2 beers and a sandwich a piece $34. Came home and assembled the cabinet without any missing parts or hassels. I was amazed! Looks nice and there's still room for more good stuff in it. Didn't think too much about the drop ceiling in the living room for the one fan till this morning. But only one trip to Ace and a little scrounging through my "good stuff" and it's up, running, and lookin goodly! Also L found a pic frame and now I can sit here and throw a suction cupped dart to see who I'm going to pick on next. It'a really nice addition to the wall, really classes it up! Obviously we have a lot of weird stuff on our walls!

It's such a great pic. Thanks again B&S! It really means a lot to me! Tomorrow the bedroom gets a new fan. And I'm going to use Susies bread recipe. Took the last loaf from the freezer yesterday and it's 3/4 gone already. I had to laugh at Laura's PBJ sandwich at lunch the PBJ looked like a slice of steakum and she lays it on thick. Think she like my home made bread. City girl. Jealous of all you eating peas and berries! My peas, beans, and cuc's are just now blossoming. Peppers and maters are growing. The SLW's are getting prettier everyday some of them know it too. I think L is telling them that. I warned her. But they are all of a different personality but still hang real tight together. 8/10 yesterday and 9/10 today so far in the guage, warm the rest of the week. Berries should go nuts! Have to get a couple of lbs of bacon and sausage fried up for the freezer then making Zateran's red beans, rice and smoked sausage for supper. Of course a nice slice of buttered bread to go with. Shoulda put the first fan in the bedroom.

Afternoon to All... Good to read that everyone is having a great time and staying extra busy.
Me and Suzie are busy with the gardens and the lawn. I baled 8 empty sunflower seed bags of grass and clover from behind the pole barn brfore the rain started. The flock will enjoy all the good free stuff this winter, and proves bales don't need any twine to hold them together.

The new flock is growing and have one java givin his best at a crow...

I think your odds at the hatch are rare Annarie...the three amigos I have from you are, larry, curly, and moe...LOL and are nice birds with a happy home for sure.

Been pickin red raspberries every day now. Pies, jelly, and fresh eatin them to death.... just had to go back by the woods and pick some black caps, even if it was rainin.

Thanks for sharing all the great pics. You guys do all have flocks to be proud of....

I have a bathroom that WORKS!!!!!!

Tons of finish work yet to do but there is running water in the sink and tub now!!!

Kids are veggin in front of the boobtube watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua.....
