Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Flockers,
I got my roo and some other silkies ( I sold off) from a farm outside of Monticello WI. I got my black silkie roo and hen from there too.

Well the bad part about oxycodine.... I work up at 5 am... I would take something and go back to sleep but have an 8 am appt with my phys therapist..
Then breakies with my Barn owner at 8:45 then back home.. where I will promptly fall asleep for a few hours...
And my arm still hurts.. so been sitting under an ice pack for a while now.. so now its cold and hurting. LOL
Haven't seen my chickies since Friday.. I am going nuts!! My barn owner gets all the eggs she wants, and sells them or eats them for feeding my flock. She has one hen in with mine, I pay for food and
she feeds them, as well as her two geese.

Hopefully will post some good news!
Carol

Hey gang have to be quik here but wanted to say first of all If HaHa needs a hand I'm only working about 4 days a week right now and I'm more than happy to come give a hand, just let me know! I live 30 min. away and I'm super dry, nothin but sand here!
Mon. I am going to pick up my 2 black copper marans, one of which will be my boys show chicken for 4-h next year!
The rest of the flock is doing good, wormed them with wazine waiting then giving them a small dab of ivermectin paste, not because they had worms just a preventative and for ease of mind!!
Oxycodone is prescribed way to much, Be careful, It's addictive! I have a buddy that was prescribed them over a year ago, and he now finds them any way he can..Again there is a natural herb that would help with sleeping and pain management, but it's illegal, because oh the drug companies would loose and government would loose and oh boy politics suck! BTW no, I'm not a pothead! But do beleive in the medicinal uses of the all natural herb, over some chemical pressed in a pill, thats addictive! And I do understand that some people HAVE to take pills for some reasons.
Babylady congrats on the new job, hope it continues to go well!
Terri O I had a similar experiance we had to fight with ins. co. a bit but they paid to get it relined...We saw the fire though SCARY!
And boy those thai game birds were ugly huh? Are those fighting birds or what?

Thanks for the Welcome!

MeettheFlockers,
I will be showing at Beaver Dam too, for the first time. Shown at Fond du Lac quite a few times. Will be bringing 3 Blue/Black Ameraucanas and 4 Blue/Black Standard cochins to Beaver Dam.

I can't help you WCC but hopefully someone on here can.
Terri-I figured that was to expensive but thought I would pass it along. Oh yeah, the weekend off, we are very lucky. It really is nice but I still miss them like crazy by sunday. My divorce was a good thing, but maybe not everyone can say that. We get along better now, then we ever did before. My DH had a whole different situation. But then again his X is crazy.

Oh and I was always told it was a harvest moon, but I love the way the clouds moved over it.
FM- I'm so happy he called! I was going to ask if you had his number and would check to make sure he is doing ok. Glad him and L are dry and safe. Dr- here's hoping all is well

What am amazing little egg. They are the size of their heads. Could you imagine pushing that out. Such a big egg for such a small bird. They are really beautiful too. cream with brown specks. I'll post pics soon. MiL should be bringing the incubator this weekend, so I will have my first run with quail eggs. Wish me luck. Well got to pick up half the kids. Take care everyone!

Good evening! What a day! Glad it's done anyway...(hey, that rhymes!) So I found some mushrooms at my client's place and left a piece to make a spore print. It was white (that's good) so I picked the rest of them today. They were in a ring around an old tree in her yard. I was pretty sure what they were but I wanted to consult a few more books at home. Just got done reading through what I have and I tossed the mushrooms...I am 99% sure that they are smooth parasols but the problem is that the other 1% could be an Amanita that is deadly! Oh well...
So DH is home now and in quite the mood...LOOOONG weekend ahead I fear! Later-Terri O

BL4 I think it was you who asked if Dr Ha Ha had flood indurance. I asked him and he said no. But he said that he was getting the insurance company to write a letter stating that they wouldn't cover anything so he could take that to FEMA and THEY will pay for the stuff. It just takes running through hoops.

Right now I have a HUGE whole in my house. We're taking out one of the old patio doors and putting in the new one finally. We bought that sucker back in February. So it's about time we do this.

Well- gotta get back to work.
