And a cute pic of my cross beak pullet.. she is SOOO curious and so cute, eats like a tiny horse too.
Edited to add, I just got confirmation that there is a HIGH probability that Hawk is a Belgian Quail d'Anver bantam!!!

Another beautiful day just a little cooler. Well I have given up on one of my silkie bantys coming home ! She has been gone for almost a week and I don't figure she is coming back . She refused to go into the coop at night and I tried to find out where she was roosting but could never find her.

Dr.h sorry if the scraper didn't work out for you I always had great luck with them . You got a razor scraper with replaceable blades? Well good lluck it sounds like you have your work cut out for you.

Wichch sorry to hear of your health problems that sucks I know how you feel . I just had a ct scan and emg done on my right elbow and I find out Friday if they are goin to do surgery on my arm again. Good luck!

Chris,
Do you need a silkie rooster?? I have a black that I would like to find a home for. I am below Madison by about 10 miles.
Sorry to hear about your elbow issues!
Let me know..
OR any one else?!

Thanks Dr. H! I do like my new job, I could do away with the getting up at 5 AM though. I'm a night owl at heart.

Not much to report; somehow I managed to get some yogurt made night before last....... and I am working on my cake for the scholarship event at the University. Something with chocolate and Kaluha.....

Enjoy this beautiful day everyone!

Good Morning All! BL4 never had a cake cake with Kaluha in it sounds really good! cd no it was a 4" heavy duty ice scraper that I sharpened. Forgot about you saying a razor scraper, that would probably work better. But after draging in my compressor and trying various tools found that a stiff wire wheel on my heavy duty drill works the best for taking off the fiber then using my ice chisel works a lot better. Did as much yesterday that I had done in 15 hours before. Hope your elbow is going to be OK! Thanks for all your advise even if I don't remember to follow it.

WCc neat birds, that quail is really cute! Have a great one!

Hello all,

Our new order of chick are here!!!
yippiechickie.gif
They are soooo cute! I have never seen bantam chicks before and now I have 27 (I think, but will recount) assorted little bantam fuzz butts! I can't keep them all but it will be hard to get rid of some of them. Oh and we got SILKIES!! I have been trying to get one for my daughter for a long time and wasn't having much luck, or they were to expensive. So even if they are hatchery quality for only .99 you can't go wrong.

So now I will have a bunch of bantam roos and pullets available in a few weeks too. I'm becoming the crazy chicken raising lady. I can post pics if anyone on here wants to see them and help me guess on breeds and colors.

Iwill be getting 5 california whites and 5 red sex links tomorrow for the monroe swap. Their owner doesn't have time to g:hmmr a combo of CA's ad RSL's = 10.
Does any one here want to buy 1 or 2 or more.
I am buying them from her at 4 apiece, so would sell them to WI BYC'ers for that much. They are young, some are still pullets, have small combs so have not matured yet or much.
Let me know and I can set any aside for you.

Carol
