Jordan Park in Point is wonderful, BUT it is LOADED with poison ivy and I mean LOADED. There is ivy all along the shorelines where you would fish and it infests the sides of the trails across the road where one would like to get onto the rocks in the river. We had a cookout there last summer and I was a wreck making sure the kids did not get into the stuff and then rub all over me! The last thing I need is another round on steroids!

Lake Emily is beautiful; has a swimming beach, playground equipment, lodges, and fishing areas plus camping!

ANY PLACE THAT IS A CAMPING PLACE> IS FILLED WITH CAMPERS, THEY ARE SOLD OUT BY THE FIRST OF THE YEAR, THERE IS NEVER HARDLY A SPACE AVAILABLE IN THE STATE OF WI FOR 1(ONE) TENT, LET ALONE A GROUP.

I only type this way because I have said it before and it doesn't seem to sink in.
Can anyone here tell of one time you were able to get a large group into a campground for 2 or more days? That wasn't on private land?
I hope and pray that isn't true, but it seems to be the norm these days.

Again I know it's dumb to worry about it but... When I turned 28, I started in about not wanting to be 30. And you right I'm not going to be the cute 20 something anymore. Maybe I will be 29 for a couple more years.

I do still like when I have to beer and I get carded. I go to the grocery store just because they will card you all the time. Little ways to feel better. magoochie and CrazyForCochins927- I'm in for a couple glasses of wine. but only a couple. I'm a cheap date.

Thanks for the laugh! My D-day is the 10th of Feb. I told the kids and DH that everyone is playing hookie and we are going to the museum. I know not very adult like, but thats what I want. Well have a great night everyone! Also my Bball team won again tonight!!! We haven't lost yet. Another game tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed.

I'm a cheap date too. Any more than a couple glasses and I'd be on the floor! lol
My birthday is Feb 26. Last year I spent it out in PA working and I sat in the car all day, then hubby and I hit up a Bob Evans for dinner! Special huh? lol.

This year I'm hoping to be home. My sister and her hubby want to take me to Osaka, for a sushi/hibachi dinner. Hopefully I will be home. I love that place!

Also, on another note, my big black Australorp rooster ended up in my chicken soup tonight! Hubby told me I can get the other coop heated up and get more chicks on order! CAnt wait, I'm pricing some different hatcheries out right now. I wanna get some EE and welsummers for sure!
