Me Remember? Who said that? Their posts show up underneath the reply box. Went out to give the kids water and got back to the house and remembered that I forgot to check their feeders, see TO. Have to close bedroom door because the wood stove blows us out. L sleeps with an electric blanket and I don't cover up until the wee hours unless it's below zero. No heat in the bedrooms but thinking of elec baseboards for the remodel. CP good luck on the sturgeon! Gave up on L's taxes will either do Turbo or take them in with mine. 5 eggs so far. Picked Deet one of the slw's and it was a good thing I had gloves on she clamped on to a finger and wasn't letting go. She's such a "B"!

Really Frigid Morning All.... I always check the temps in the coops just for the heck of it. This Morning was a record low in the brahma coop with temp at 0. Yesterday was +5 and mostly it's been +10. I'm anxious for outside lows around +20 so inside the coops stay above freezing. That sure lightens up the work a bunch!

Yep, good luck cp on the spearing. My friends in Fondy always have a great time on the ice. They always want me to come give er a try.... some year maybe just might.

I had a frozen egg under the roost this mornin too. I'll fry it up and feed it back with some other stuff.
I got a call from the Wi Bowhunters Offfice...they need help again with the annual audit...fun to see the books for sure. The membership really needs to increase. It's kinda sad how many bow hunters the State has and how few belong to the organization that represents all of them.

Suzies Uncle and cousin have the electric baseboard heaters Doc. They both love them. Each room has it's own thermostat, allowing them to control the heat better. They both claim it's cheaper than oil or gas....Suzies Uncle is a real bean counter...doing tests that determine real comparisons.

He said he is a little envious of my wood pile....but not the work it took to get it there...

DH is back to work. dishwasher puked! FIL fixed it (hopefully) I haven't gotten it back yet. I gotta hand wash dishes for today

OH MY GC! get well soon! any details on the accident? BigZ my glasses ended up in the back seat on the floor too that time I was in an accident! I almost hit someone yesterday, she's glad my brakes didn't fail me I'll tell you that! she (16-18 year old) pulled out RIGHT in front of me! didn't even look my way! luckily I was watching her!

Our bedroom is colder too? wish it wasn't. So how much do ya think it would cost to add an upstairs to a house? That is what we are planning on doing with our tax return, well probably and then some.

I hope not to much though! we just want to add enough space up there for 2 BIG bedrooms and a small bathroom. we're doing it all ourselves, and the people at the restore are going to get to know us! wonder how we find out if our house will support the extra weight? hmmmm!? I would LOVE to build my own house! I told DH maybe we should make the upstairs into our bedroom and the kids can all share our room, but that didn't fly with the kids!

can you tell I hate my house! ok I could keep going on about this house so I will stop probably way past the stopping time. I'm gonna go do dishes now.

I have all the chores done.. it was almost pleasant outside.

I often wonder how people can remember everything they read and then comment on it all in one post... I usually have to go post by post..

If a house is built normally , ie. to code, a second story is easy to add on.. I was a building contractor until I retired.. I remodeled a lot of kitchens and baths.. they were my favorite projects because there was such a dramatic change from the old to the new..

You can save a bundle if you build your own cabinets..

we will really have to collect the egg every hour for the next few days,, I have to save 20 hatching eggs for the teacher.. I hope those roosters are not shooting blanks..

OH YEAH !!!! I just checked what you said DrH.. all the posts are right under the reply box.. I never noticed that before.. Now I know everything there is to know.... I can die a happy man.. LOL

Well I've been getting calls constantly from lawyers and insurance people. Luckily the accident wasn't my fault at all. We are going to be tight for money though because my hubby had to take family medical leave to help me with our daughter. So we will be tight on bills until the settlement is done.

As for the details, my sister, my daughter, and I were going to Chuck E. Cheese. We were right where you curve right to go from I-43 to US-41. It was a compete traffic jam because I guess there was something going on with the Packers. So we were just sitting at a complete stop in the right lane trying to get to the exit and I decided to start doing my make-up while we were waiting. All of a sudden my sister goes "Oh poop" because she was looking in her mirrors. I look and a guy is coming around the curve going 65 mph and slams right in to us. He didn't hit the brakes or anything. I guess he was watching the car to his left and was trying to switch lanes and didn't see that our lane was completely stopped. I got the worst injuries because I was leaning forward to do my makeup when he hit us so the seat belt couldn't work properly.

Well, Looks like we made it through the worst of it......whew......Working outside on nice frosty aluminum doors has not been fun the last few days. Good thing there was some road time between calls to thaw out, lol.

Got 2 of the 3 seed orders.....almost time to get the leeks going. Gonna get busy around here way too soon.

Good news about Hubby back to work raimnel...bad about dishwasher......

Going to finish the brooder house this weekend, and pick up the future veggie stand. Thank goodness for warmer weather.

Man--that sounds REALLY SCARY GT! What a terrible feeling to know that you are going to be hit and cant do a thing about it. It happened to me too and I sure dont ever want to repeat it! I sure hope you gals all repair OK! Your car is totaled I assume? (did that twice!) I hate crashes!

It was sad at work today...a guy that was in pretty good shape was found dead Thursday morning and then Thursday evening my client Helen passed.

She was already in Hospice care though so it was kind of expected with her...and she wanted to go. I guess it is hard to say which way is a better way...I guess I would rather just go to bed and not wake up! (not any time soon though!) So it was a pretty quiet lunch...on a good note though, one of the people came back that wasnt expected to! I guess it can go either way!

Yeah DrH--I knew about those posts under there [arrow pointing down] but it always seems like I am starting a new page and then they arent there? I know I looked a few times and it didnt go back far enough...then I tried to go back and that is when I lost my ENTIRE message! So now if I dont remember, I dont remember! (and that is that) Raimnel...you could have my dishwasher...I only use it to store my canning jars and canning supplies!

It didnt get the dishes clean enough and I'll be dam*ned if I am going to wash dishes to put them in the washer! Then there was always the problem of getting someone to unload it....(it's not MY tuuuurrn) So then we just started washing them by hand--end of problem! Sometime I will have to tell what I did to stop the problem of "those arent MY dishes!"

I was able to get the pump going this morning! I took out some really hot water and poured it down the pipe and it thawed it enough to get it unstuck. The water was really slow at first but then it was OK. I was so glad not to have to carry buckets! I have had to do a few times and it sure isnt fun! So I guess I will head out again and get night chores done before it is dark tonight! (So much easier when you can actually see!) I collected eggs in 3 shifts today too Jim. THe first set were all frozen except for three. Oh yeah, do you know if guineas lay any other color egg than whitish? I have a few light brown ones that are the same shape and size and I dont know if they are chickens or guineas!

Leftovers for dinner for us tonight...I did enough cooking this week and today! LOL!~Goodnight All! Terri O

The top 5 reasons I hate winter
#5- Getting bundled up (snow pants, boots, coat, scarf, gloves, and hat) everytime you have to leave the house
#4- Having to lock all the animals up all the time
#3- Having to haul water to stalls when I lock the horses up on really cold nights and it spills on my pants
#2-Having to build fires constantly to keep the house warm
and the #1 reason- It's COLD!!!!

I am so done with winter!

I missed who is re-doing their kitchen but YES of to MSchuettle (sp) freight! I went to Home Depot and priced out the cabinets for our kitchen (6 years ago) and they wanted 12,000. Went down to MS and got everything for about 4,000. All solid wood, dovetail joints, roller drawers, etc.... all the bells and whistles. On top of that they were made in De Pere!

I believe the radio said we were at -17 this AM...... I want this to be the LAST cold spell.

DH and I went out to Hans for our Valentine dinner. I FINALLY got to have some Prime Rib!

When we came home our oldest son treated us with his latest trick; playing the water glasses..... all my wine glasses lined up on the counter with vairous amounts of water in them and there he is getting them to hum....... funny kids!

Anyway, 4 AM gets here pretty quick so I better sign off. Oh! One other thing, BYC is on Facebook!!!!!!
