Raimnel, my youngest daughter could fully operate the VCR when she was 1 1/2 and play the 'Pig Movie' "Babe". Over and over and over and over........... it kept her busy so I could do something else!

Hey everyone,

Hope everybody had a good V-Day. Mine was great. The food was amazing. I had the lobster cakes for my appetizer, a blood orange vinaigrette with pistachio salad, then they served the palate cleanser which was a fig sherbert type thing, then my main course was called the triple something or other, it had a 4 ounce steak on top of loaded mashed potatoes, a portobello mushroom stuffed with a bunch of vegetables and cheese, and a duck leg served on top of rice pilaf. Finally for dessert we had a white chocolate cup filled with a white chocolate and vanilla bean mouse and it had fresh fruit on top. Also each course was paired with a different wine. It was sooo good but the portions are always so darn small, my husband and I made jokes about going to get food after we left. LOL!

We are going to see Wicked in Appleton on Sunday. I've seen it the first time around in Chicago so hopefully it compares. My husband has never been to a broadway type play but I haven't heard of anyone not liking Wicked. My dad and step-mom bought myself, my husband, and my sister all tickets to go see it to together. I can't wait.


Well the hubby is napping before work so I think I might sneak away and go get some chinese take-out. I have been in the mood for chinese for way too long. I deserve it. LOL!

If you can Goth, check out the Black and Tan Grille at the Copperleaf (next to the PAC); a friend of mine is the Executive Chef there; he makes some amazing stuff! How funny you will be in Appleton; I will be a few blocks away doing my class at the Y!

Anybody who gets NBC26 out of GB, there will be a segment on there about Element Mobile.

Hi all...just had the most amazing thing happen today...I was at work and the speaker for the lady's club was a quilter! I was just telling DH yesterday on the way to pick up the sewing machine that I wanted to get back into quilting! So I went to the talk and found out that this Thursday there is a quilting class at the activity center here in town that is featuring an award winning quilter! It certainly must be fate! I have to get on the website and register...I sure hope it hast been canceled!

Just went to the website...canceled! Darn it all anyway! I am sad--hopefully it will be offered again. I did meet some women at the meeting that said they would be happy to help too. I also met a 94YO farmer woman that still drives and was sad that she had to quit her job 2 years ago because of some cancer surgery! Incredible! I sure hope I am moving around at 94! I have a "standing invitation" to her house anytime!

She is quite the character.

I posted about my hen's problems and this morning they were suggesting Canker. It really didnt look too much like that but I have to go back now and take a look if I have any more replies. She was OK this morning but it seemed that there was another build up of crud in her throat...

Evening All... Funny you should mention quilts Terri....Suzie just started a new one for Jennie this week...she's been making them forever. We were looking at some Amish ones for sale not to long ago....she laughed and said they should take lessons from me! They knew how to charge for their work though

I didn't get much done today....ran to the feed mill. 3 bags of layer for $27. Sure ain't getting any cheaper. The hens are laying well, but most of the eggs are for family and friends. I don't charge them for eggs, but I should. It's better to give, eh!

Kept the fire going today. The chill in the air wasen't like the nice warm days we've been having.

Suzie is gonna doctor up a frozen pizza for supper tonight. I'll wash it down with one for you Terri.
Tonight it's Leinenkugel's Classic Amber.

[Buck Creek Chickens]

I did my good deed for the day, a neighbor stopped by said her daughter was visiting, her dog was missing, if we saw it could we help, told her we'd keep an eye out. well I drove my DH to vote, on the way home there was the pooch, poor thing was so scared that we couldn't get close, so drove to the neighbors to tell them we saw her and where. An hour or so later they stopped by, they caught the dog. Happy ending

Snow has been melting! This warmer weather sure has been nice. Too bad it wil end soon.

Called for more propane today, was down to 35%.

I also have my sisters cold, so I have been coughing and plugged up for the last couple days. Blah.....

My sister and nephews are coming over tomorrow to see the baby chicks. Chickenvision has been nonstop for a week now!

I put together a big venison lasagna for dinner tomorrow night when they come over. Should be good!

Good Morning Everyone! Mag I'm with ya on the cold. My sinus thing moved into my chest overnight now a full blown cold. Feel like a big bent bucket of dog s*it! Thinking of greasing up with vicks and going back to bed. BCC you get an atta girl. Bet they were happy to get it back. Bigz I too am looking forward to the kids foraging again, man they really went through the feed this year. Leinies YUM! Boy TO the grass doesn't grow under your feet. Hope your hen does OK! GC sounds like you had a great Vday. You too Raimnel sounds like the kids did a good job on your romantic dinner, that's cute. WICc boy I hope that doesn't get into the rest of your flock. Sounds like he didn't spend too much time with his birds not to notice, hope they pull through! Better get going to do nothing.

Good morning...just time for a quick note here. I have to go to work to cook this time...was just reading over my recipes to see what I had to do. Seems like an easy day. Then my dd24 wants me to make some Jello shots for her to bring to her brother for his 21st b-day. (I guess I can handle that)

She says the more vodka the better so I dont have to worry too much...
THe chicken is still doing fine this morning. Not sure if it is Canker still...she doesnt look like the pics of it too much--probably some odd disease....
