Good Morning All! Jim the bathroom floor is a 1/4" lower than the utility room floor so removing the existing 3/8 will leave me a 5/8 difference. Thinking 5/8 plywood. Removing a bathtub and surround and putting a 2 piece 48" shower with seats so as Laura puts it she can get in with me to wash my old saggy butt. Now thinking maybe I better put the new lenoleum down before the shower base goes in so it's underneath. Thinking the plumber will use pex, whatever is easiest for him. From what I've read that's the ticket these days. Thought of a bunch more stuff I can do last night so I better get going. Have a really good day!

Hens and Roos - I am looking to rehome the blue cuckoo 2 month old. The splash cuckoo I am keeping to replace one of my existing roosters (hatched April 2010). The one I will be rehoming is a cuckoo with GREAT contrast and sharp borders showing some gold leakage (so from what I can figure out should throw 50% gold hens and 50% split for gold roosters). He's my subordinant rooster in the pen right now and a very handsome fella.

WIChookchick - The buff silkie is available if you want him/her. Buff and Partridge just aren't my thing. I prefer the black/blue/splash/lavender/silver end of the spectrum.

It was from a mixed bag selection of silkie/showgirl eggs.

good morning, I finally got to sleep in.. (8am).. the ticket is to go to bed at 2 am..

one of my new hens was picked on at their old home.. they continued it here, so Annie turned her loose into the yard mainstream of birds.. she will be less conspicuous out there.. those other hens had a hole drilled in her head right down to the bone (skull).. she spends all day hiding out..

I am going to sell those barred rocks to a friend, but first I am going to get a clutch of eggs from them..

got another goose egg yesterday.. I think I will send for a plastic goose egg holder.. I am going to send for a dozen or so regular egg holders anyway..

Annie is paying for this order.. She took on another night of work, I was not in favor of it.. so she said that she would buy my trays for me with some of the money.. (whine whine) LOL see how it works?? she is buying a new gasket for the door on the 1202 also.. and also a couple of wafers.. LOL

I have to make one more automatic waterers for one of the 1502.. I set them up with a 5 gal reservoir .. then I make the tubing long enough to make a coil inside the bator.. that way the water is heated up when it comes through the float valve..

I cut the bottom out of a 5 gal bucket for the humidity pan..

I bought the floats from American Plastics for less than $7/ea

and I get the fittings and tubing from Fleet for less than $3..

the 5 gal buckets are free...

If you buy these online , they are about $80.oo

I should put together the plans for building these to send to people, complete with photos.. Like I did with the chicken plucker.. anybody interested?

DrH, I like the idea of running the linoleum under the shower stall. and did anybody tell you to mix up a concrete slurry under the shower base to help support it ?

I wasn't expecting them till Sunday? Hopefully there is a good hatch rate being winter and they were cold? Im nervous with it being cold outside. he did tell me that if I didn't have good results that he could cut me a good deal on more eggs.

Im dealing with the phone company right now (im on hold) we're getting dsl internet, hopfully its better than what we have, if not I'm going back. Im not going to cancel what I have just yet. (FYI, I dont have a land line, but land line wires are run into the house) however anybody know how to wire up a phone box? I got the phone line coming in and it goes to an OLD box and the OLD phone (previous owners) is wired directly into it? I need to wire one up that has a plug AND I get to hook up my own computer and router and all, Wheres the customer service? oh ya that must have been what I said no to because it was going to be $80 and hour for them to do it?! RRRR!

Good late morning! Sheesh, it's almost noon! I was perusing recipes...found some good ones too! I wont worry about the temp swings then RAIMNEL. My DH could tell you how to do it. Dont know how I would get the info to you though...PM me and we can work something out if you really need help OK?
Last night the bator stayed right where it should be...and the temp is 102 with a humidity of 35. I guess that's good right? I might turn it down a tad. ODrH--I have got to get to your place and see your birds! I am curious to see all those colors--that's the spectrum I love too!
Well I guess I better go out and get eggs and head to my client's place to clean out her fridge (again) More food for the girls! Talk later--have a fantastic day! Terri O
