@jvls1942- I wish that were the silliest ordinance i came across looking for that one. We're not allowed to have polar bears dead or alive either.

and thanks to all for the warm welcome!

The ordinance reminds of one in Davis CA that made it illegal to stand and smoke.. so people walked in a small circle and smoked...
They were within the letter of the law so they couldn't stop them from smoking.. until they changed it.. not sure when that was.
My stepfather loved doing stuff like that.

Well I have found a home for the frizzle rooster that came home with me last weekend, he was free with a hen, I didn't want him to
go to freezer camp. And a black australorp hen I got a while back. A small family wants a few chickens for their kids.
The funny thing they are going up to beaver dam.. where the roo came from last week.

Well obviously I can't move there as Polar Bear was on my "must have" list, right behind Silver Laced Polish...

Ours states livestock and animals used for monetary gain. I think that applies to all the dog breeders in town too. Snakes are not allowed over so many inches.... I would have to dig up the ordinance again and type it in properly..... thanks to TO taking the 3 ducks off my hands our back yard is MUCH quieter, and Checkers is a good daddy duck who takes very good care of his ladies!

I just found out that an old neighbor of ours just died from a ruptured appendix- what a coincidence! She was a sweet lady too.......

All this chit-chat of milk and chicks and eggs and so on is getting me int he soaping mood! I need to make a few more batches since we are running low in the soap department..... and it would be cool to hand out at the bash!

Well, I wish it would warm up some. I would like to start walking or running or something to get in shape.......

Goth, if I did not already have 4 cats I would take one of those spotted babies!

Anyway, off to spend time with the Fam...... everyone have a good evening!

BL$ said--Goth, if I did not already have 4 cats I would take one of those spotted babies!
I say the same thing but change the number to 12! LOL!
SO much to read...those ordinance things make me crazy too. I applied for a variance when we lived in Oconomowoc. I had a dozen chickens and 3 geese then. Everyone thought they were so neat. I shared eggs with the neighbors and gave away compost too--it was a win-win! If pot bellied pigs smell at all like real pigs...yup--would much rather be a neighbor to a few chickens!
Here are a few of my new babies:

I have one that is still in the incubator. He had been hatching for a day or so and was stuck in the shell so I took him out and cracked around the shell a little and put him back in. By the time I got home he was out but the shell was stuck on his head! So I put him in a warm damp paper towel and popped him back in. He is now free of most of the shell but isnt standing yet. He is not drying off very well either. The feathers look wet but are crispy. I am going to leave him in the bator until tomorrow ans see how he is then...

Not a single button has popped out for me this time! I am letting them go a few more days and then will see what is up. Last time none hatched but most were fully developed...Hmmm...
Well--gotta go out and close up. Sweet dreams all! TErri O
