Once cat pee soaks through it is very hard to get out, you might plan on taking it down to what ever is below the pergo and hope it didn't reach that as well. If it went through to what is under the pergo you will need to seal that with a stain blocker type paint-zinger makes a good one. Good Luck!

We have been dealing with that for YEARS!!!!!

CATS! I wish I could send them OUTSIDE but I am afraid they will get hit by cars.....

Raiquee; you would have thought somebody who was supposed to be so smart would have CHECKED to see if the baby was still breech BEFORE you sat through all of that crap. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.........

Kilz, Zinsser whatever you pick put a good 2-3 coats down of paint....... or they will return to the scene and repeat the crime.

Waiting for it to warm up; where the heck is the warm weather anyway??????

Spent the morning with Elaine, we candled and then float tested the eggs...
quite a few were porous and apparently that is a bacteria thing that gets in...
several looked viable, but float tested as duds....
two float tested viable and candled good, but are very overdue.
I brought them home and...set up a temp/emergency incubator
Should I put a tiny crack on those shells??
I have them set up in a quick emergency incubator...
IF it works.. I am going to try it on some of the cochin bantams I have left...
I took a styrofoam container, my zoo med small UTH, a styrofoam egg carton, cut in half.
And two thermometers, oh and some water and duct tape...
holes punched into the container, 1 large binder clip, some wire.. and viola...
I have the UTH hanging from the top, held on with the binder clip on one side, with wire, and wire around the cord on the other side...
water in the lid of the carton, the bottom sitting on it, with a few holes in every other cup.
The eggs in the bottom of the egg carton all of that sitting at the bottom of the styrofoam container...
thermometers... duct tape to close the holes where the wire went through..
And well if it works..
Poof home made emergency incubator made from common household supplies.
LOL

SOOOO um..should I try to put a small hole in the two good eggs??
Let me know.
Carol

Edited to add. IF this does work I did take pics.

Raiquee, try using one of those Bissell Green Machines to wash the initial spot (I swear by that stuff!) and then after it's dry spray this on there. It works great, and I should know, as my walk in closet seems to be the litterbox these days.

Good luck on the birth!

Early Evening All.... yep you caught me in a white lie Doc. I never made it out to the woods and get the tent set! OK maybe two.

Jennie stopped and took a couple pics today. Here is a couple of the peeps. They prolly look familiar Jim!

All the chicks look so cute. I don't think I will hatch any, would worry like the rest of you and I don't have the room for that many.
I had the problem with cats and we had to remove all the flooring and then seal the sub floor. No more cats here!
I have a question about using shredded paper ( junk mail) for bedding for new chicks ? Is this ok or better not to ? I did read not newspaper with all the print but not sure about this kind.

We still have a few areas of snow here yet, maybe with the coming rain that will all be gone.
