Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Morning Everyone! Notice the absense of the word Good. What a storm early this AM! Dumped 1 7/10ths" out. Power went out at some time, when I got up at 3 to check the bator the power was on and they were at temp. Then it went out again at 5:40 and not back on till 7:10. Started a hot fire in the stove and took the bator back by it. It dipped all the way to 88* for a brief moment then regulated the temp by opening/closing the back porch door.

Sweated my butt off watching the thermo it was 110* back there. Went out and added more hose to the sump discharge so that it's going right into the ditch out front. If they give me any grief about doing so the next time you hear from me will be from the county jail! Watching the crawlspace closely if the elec pump doesn't handle it will hook up the gas pump. It's about 2 blocks from the floor joists. We had hail for awhile haven't even looked at the vehicles yet, about dime size. Have water standing in the yard but no river yet. bl4 will turn the boat over if needed. It's upsidedown on the trailer. The sun is shining! But round 2 is supposed to hit around 4. Other than that it's a beautiful day! All the chicks are sooo cute! Hope these make after all the worry and effort. Worry Worry Worry! Like that dog on the tube. kee after doing more research think that is about the best breed there is. The perfect chicken. WCc hope your hatch is successful! Rai hope things go more smoothly with that future BYC member. Better go check the water level. Was thinking of not having any beer today. I thought wrong! The kids are grabbing floating worms out there and making mud pies.

our river is up level with the road.. more rain will push it over for sure..

So, this is how it's gonna be.. a guy came to buy the last few (5) americauna chicks today.. there were only 7 buckeyes left, and he had room in his pet carrier, sooo, why not take them all?

He is going to dump them on his brother who has a farmette..LOL

He ordered 15 more americauna.. I might wait until I hear if his brother kills him or not..LOL

My sister is here waiting for me to print the beer bread recipe so I better get at that..

Afternoon All.
Jim.. I didn't hear it anywhere.. I was reaching for straws, but after talking with a local person nearby, he has those norweigan jaehons.. apparently after 23 days.. they were probably NOT going to hatch.
And so at 24 days, I tossed the last two this morning..
BUT what about the idea of my home made bator??

Not that it matters at this point, I went to barn to feed and water.. and one of my year old silkies decided to go broodie!!!

I put some polish crossed and cochin eggs under her!!. YEAH!!
So lets cross fingers for this one!

Got to see the inside of the new house!! Woop Woop!

I brought the two younger chicks back to the house, the silkie is thin, despite the fact I have multiple feeding spots..
So she and the blue andalusian are back.
Stay safe in this weather tonight all!
I hope to be on later on.. DH is on a serious Hoojie hunt..

My dear mother came up with that term (I think) .. when you are looking for that 1 certain something, or very hard to find thing...
Its a Hoojie hunt...

did you get any aerial shots of the ground? LOL

Carol, maybe we should call you Dr McGeiver from now on..

I went out and graded some on the driveway with the tractor.. re inforced the dike before the storms and rain.. which never happened.. but a tornado did touch down 4 miles straight north of my house..

I think Suzie might have been sort of in harms way near Crandon,?

Yesterday I thought I was done with the cold virus. NOPE: today I have aches and am sneezing sneezing sn====

no energy. the turkeys get to sleep on the deck tonight, I don't have the oomph to chase them into their lean-to.. tomorrow get the hose out and wash it down,,,,,,,,again....

after the big snow piles are all melted away on the lawn, I will haul my driveway back to where it belongs.I have a good 2 yards of gravel to replace..

speaking of tractors, ; I have to get my clutch fixed.. I have to stand hard on the brakes to stop it.. One of these times the clutch is not going to let go.. the only way to get at it is through a 6 x 6 inspection/adjustment hole underneath.. Once I get my hand in there I will not be able to see in there.. That took a real mental giant to come up with that patent..

Just torrential rain here, all the damage is east of us. The hail this morning was more impressive....... and no arial shots Jim (yuk, yuk, yuk....)
