If your still thinkin of girlfriends for your SLW roo thinkin maybe some hatchin eggs around Bash time? My record sucks! It's been a long winter and think that everyone wants signs of new life! otonoh L told me to tell you Thank You! for the plant/flower and said you didn't have to do that cause she likes to remind me that I'm still mortal once in awhile.

[Inside joke] With the boys think those eggs are already gone , should of had them go get some more out the nests. There were 7 more around 1:30 some still warm. Bigz hope you can get a big boy to come in tomorrow! What am I saying? Let us know how big! Picked up Peatwo about an hour ago and smelled onions on his breath and thought I didn't dump anyth...... The chives are up.

Afternoon again,

Well the girls are settling down, hearing the nice peep peep sound all afternoon. It was a bit quiet so checked on them, most were napping. All seem too be doing well except one little silver laced Wyandotte. I hope she pulls through. I changed the bedding already from newspaper to a towel. They seem to like the towel more, I will replace daily.
The girls are getting along, All of the the golden comets have pronounced stripes, 1 is a bit lighter so maybe one male. Dr. Ha Ha's kids are a few days younger but are almost the same size and aren't being bullied

here are some pics I took about 1 hour ago

let me what you think about the chances of getting female comets

Hey David...that was cool...a little slideshow! The chicks are adorable...I cant wait to get mine out of the bator. The windows are all fogged up so I cant hardly see in there but they sound REALLY ticked! THe ones that hatch under a hen never sound that mad to me. I guess it must be more comfortable for them wrapped up in feathers than stumbling around in a steam room falling over egg shells! ICK!
Just waiting for the rain to slow so I can go out and get the afternoon eggs and feed again. I got some straw yesterday and of course it is out in the rain today...bet it will be REALLY absorbent now hey?

I knew I should have carried it into the barn...
Made some really cute cupcakes at work today with carrots on top. The people really liked them. I brought some home for dinner here along with rice and Polynesian Sausage Supper and garden crescent rolls. Nice to have dinner done and get paid to do it!

It is nice working on Friday just because of that I think!
CHicks must be sleeping...bator is quiet for now. Have a great evening everyone! Terri O

Holy Crap is it pouring out cats and dogs here....what the heck. Thanks for the kind words Doc, however sitting in a blind with someone that won't shut up for a second, makes the effort a little more complex. I tell him Rick SHHHHHH, ok for 10 minutes, again shortly, Rick SHHHHH... quite the hunt for sure! Sure is nice when the birds are coming from across the field.

Hi Amyable! I bet we're practically next door neighbors! I'm in Morrison, just north of 96 on W! Is your yard a swamp, too? So happy to find someone close by who loves birds!

What do you have in your yard?

Ha, I live on W too, next door to Zion Luth. Methinks we're about 6-7 miles apart, cool! A little creek runs thru our back yard; hmm, not so little right now! Flood stage #4 this year already

Looking at your siggy makes me smile - you have ducks I want, plus my good friend/neighbor also has horses, BC's, cats, ducks and chicks

At this stage of my chicken illness I have only 21 chicks, 10 breeds.

Looking forward to meeting you - do you know about the Bash in June?

DrH, Cartman has 2 teeth now. Watch your fingers
