Oh my! So much to comment on Im going to forget some one!
Carol-good luck with the job interview! I might have some spare chicks left over from the seminar. Technically they are not mine but I'm sure I can get what you need since I'm the one brooding them for the seminar and the store ordered lots of extras. There are Cornish cross meatites( S.R.), Barred Rocks (pullets), Buff Orps (Straigt run), California Whites (P), Americana/EE (S.R.) Production Red (P) and some ducks Peking and Kahki Campbells all S.R. Man I think I'm missing some one....
I have not forgotten your question on the Mill tour. I'll get the address for you. There is a Culvers right off the i-90 in Edgerton and I'm, looking into reserving the meeting room there to have everyone meet up before the tour. I have a call into them so I should know more today.
Goats...who had the bloat question.....Raimnel!! Bloat is a condition brought on by over eating stuff they should not be either eating or eating to excess the stuff they can eat. Like say horse sweet feed, chicken feed, goat feed, grains, etc. They get lethargic and their abdomen looks swollen or...bloated. They act very uncomfortable as the intestinal gases build up. The bloat must be relived by inserting a tube down into their stomach and giving pain medications along with Pepto. It's been a long time since I have a goat that bloated. We took him to the vet hospital to have our treated since Chopper was a butt head to treat at home. As far as formula-I'd stick with one formulated for goats mainly for the correct nutrients and digestability. It's been a long time since I've had to look at a milk replacer label but if you want to, let me know which ones your looking at and I'll take a look-see.
Amy- I think I like your sittin' spot better them mine! But I think I beat you on being able to control the bugs better in mine!!!
Jim- nice to have you back!
DrH-Ring Leader/instigator=Same Thing Mawhaahahahahaahah!!!
Dooner-cant wait to see pics of your coop!
I too loved Second Hand Lions! It is a great movie. Funny story there. Dh and I were in the theater see Sea Biscuit. There was a gentleman sitting next me in the isle seat on my left and dh was next to me on my right. Anywho, on comes the movie trailers and the one for SHL comes on. They show that part where they old men are fishing with a shot gun. Dh and I start to laugh hysterically. I say to dh..."Look honey! That's your Uncles!! Only they use bangsite to fish with instead!" The guy next to me just shrank into his seat and scooted over as far away from me as he could get. Sat that way through the whole movie. I swear watching that film with him is like seeing his relatives lives on the big screen.
Ok off I go, I have to make more brooders for the babies, they need more wing room and I have to go earn my dog walking money Chat later!!
Cheers!
