Good Morning all,
Well at least it isn't raining here,,,,,,, yet.
So far I got 11 guinea keets hatched out of 18 eggs. They started hatching friday,, weren't due until tomorrow !!!
I'm sad though, I'm giving them all to the neighbor. He helps us out alot, great guy. I call him my adopted son, since I don't have any kids of my own. He would be one that I like to have. He can fix anything (unlike DH

) Very smart young man. I'm going to tell him though that if he decides to not keep them (although I don't think he will) that I would like them back. I have fallen in love with guineas !!!
There are alot of white/ light colored ones, some that look pied and maybe one or two dark ones. So I think mama is the white guinea with a darker papa or multiple papa's (guinea trah mama hey?)
I've got a few more in the bator so hopefully a darker hen layed those. I like the purple guineas. My flock is a mixture.
I'll try to get pictures of them before I bring them down to the neighbor. Just need to find some batteries for my battery eating camera !!! Eats more then my chickens!!!
I've decided that vegetable math and seed math is quite similar to chicken math !!! We went to the Swap in Rhinelander yesterday and came home with (surprisingly no chickens, goats, bunnies or ??>) just vegetables !!
Several kinds of tomatoes, some peppers. Then went to Menards and got cabbage, more peppers. Then went to Crandon to deliver eggs and got some more peppers and flowers at the grocery stores garden center !!! Geezzz first thing I thought was "This is as bad as chicken math !!!"
And as far as seeds go....................... Have a whole bag full that never got planted. Never mind the fact that I have a greenhouse that hubby built last summer for me. Guess I was to busy hatching out chicks in the basement to get the seeds started...... Where does time go???? I'm going to plant some yet.. Pumpkins, squash and save all of the tomatoes and bunch of others for next year. Just have to find a good place to store them.'
Has anyone ever checked out the Garden planner on the Jung Seeds website. It has a free 30 day trial. Then after that it is $25 a year or $40 for 2 years. I thought it was alot but after I looked at all that it does I might try it.

It will save your garden plan to the next year etc. Check out the trial or sample they have. I like it because it has everything in one spot to look up fertilizing, harvesting, companion planting etc.,
Again, I can't remember who said what except, Bigzio better watch it we don't want you to relapse !!
Jim you had better quit while you're ahead !!!! You keep building things and giving me ideas of things to make my DH will kill me with one more "project" to do. He will come to the bash with a real sword (You are never going to hear the end of that one I'm afraid) Wow, I can't believe you are getting all of those guinea eggs !!! How can you even find them??? Oh and yes I am picking on you !!!!! What are friends for right??
Oh and I got some Raspberry plants at the swap. Latham or something like that. Wish I could have found some rubbarb and grapes. I want to make some rubbard wine and Chuck wants to get some grape vines started.
Well, sister is up at the Cabin in Monico and will be here today to see all of my newest editions. She hasn't been up since last summer so she will be in for a rude awakening. Now of all times she wants to bring back alot of eggs to Racine. Of course I have orders coming in....... Geez not complaining but I need my chicks to be all pullets and laying !!!! NOW !!! Jim I think I need about 15 of your layers...... Yesterday !!!!
Ok, I'm rattling again !!! To early for me..... Have a good one everybody !! Shoot just looked outside, overcast and looks like more Rain !!!!! We'll never get that garden planted !!
