Well, I got the beautiful Rooster Cutting Board Na na na NA na na !!!!! I love it. Goes along with my rooster theme around here !!! At least this one I don't have to feed. We needed a cutting board too .. Hope it makes it in one piece so I can bring it back next year !!! Or NOT !!! LOL
Sure, Jim has a Tshirt that Nobody signed !!!! What the heck are we going to do with you Jimbo !!!
Well, I've been on a search for a draft size forecart on Craigslist all day !!! Posted a want ad as well and have gotten calls and emails already. There is a woman down in Seymour that has a whole barn full of sleds, buggies and wagons but no forecarts. There might be a sled I'm interested in but there goes another 200 mile round trip. We figured our milage and we only got 11.78 mpg hauling that horse trailer down and back to the bash.
I had it filled to the brim with free roosters but nobody came running when I announced "FREE ROOSTERS" Come and get um !!!!
Good thing cause when we looked inside there were all gone. Must have flew the trailer on our way down !!! Hope they all found good homes along the way !!!
Really, in case anyone was wondering why we brought the stock trailer was because we stopped in Birnamwood to buy a draft size forecart. Chuck took one look and said no he didn't want it. So I asked if they would take less and they said no and that they had paid $400 for it two years ago and would only go down to $375 !! The wife said they only had it a year ????
So, I didn't get my cart so have nothing to drive my Belgian mare in. I thought maybe by Sunday on our way home Chuck would have changed his mind or the woman would have called me and taken less but no such luck. The only problem I could find was that it needed brakes to slow the thing down. Remember I'm a beginner horse driver so brakes are important.
So back to the drawing board. One guy called me today from Tomahawk and is going to send me pictures tonight. Has a real nice cart with BRAKES for $900. Guess it was made for someone in a wheelchair so it would be nice for getting in and out of. I don't want one of those meadowbrook carts. They look very nice but they call the death carts? I think something like that !! You have to climb over the shafts or seat to get in. Once you're in you're ok but if you need to bail out,,,,, forget it. Say bye bye !!!
But a real horseman or woman should never bail out !!!! Ride it out they say !!!
So, when you guys don't hear from me anymore you'll know I found a cart and may have run off into the sunset, willingly or not !!!!!!!
So, back to feeding and watering the chickens. Conned Chuck into delivering the eggs to Wabeno. I'll go to Rhinelander tomorrow !!!!
