Happy Birthday Baby T! DS is 1 today. Soon as he wakes up from his nap, it will be time to open presents and destroy the red velvet cake I picked up for him. He's good at mashing food, should be fun!
Chickies are doing well, Iowa Blue boys think they are big now and are starting to have crowing matches. Little ones are getting quite destructive in their chick TV, knocking over their feeder, etc. They are going to earn a trip out to the grow out pen in the near future.
Think my sicilian buttercup is turning roo on me.

I see spur buds and the spots are going in favor of solid red. Darn it. Was hoping for a nice buttercup layer. May try again next season. Both white spanish whitefaceds and both silver laced wyandottes are cockerels. Both Columbian wyandottes, however are pullets.
Looks like I've got some fodder for the soon-to-be bachelor pen to grow up for freezer camp this fall. Not sure yet on the white La Fleche. Think I have a pair of black La Fleche. The darn Ameraucanas, I have a devil of a time with them until they mature. I suppose in the future I'll be better at telling, but for now...*shrug*.
One of my blue Ameraucanas has gone broody so think I'll save up some Am eggs to let her try to hatch some easter eggers and possibly a couple of those cute little lavender Ameraucana eggs.
Need to get my big 3 hole broodie/brooder box moved out of the garage and get her set up in it this week.
Hubby is out mowing the tinder...I mean yard. Doesn't really need it since it's so dry here half the yard is dead, but he needs to break in the new serpentine belt.
My antigen and testing equipment along with some ID bands are shipping out Monday, so looking forward to testing at least part of the flock later this week, hopefully. Still trying to get ahold of premium lists for upcoming shows so I can enter. Emails unanswered so far.
Off to do a rain dance, we need it terribly. The corn all around us is all curled up and looks like pineapple tops right now. Not happy corn.
