Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I have never made this recipe but it is in the cook book right above my ketchup recipe

SALSA RECIPE

3 medium sized ripe tomatos (peeled & chopped)
1/2 small red onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 tsp lime juice
2 tsp olive oil
1/4 tsp hot red pepper sauce

In a medium sized bowl combine the tomatoes, onion, garlic and peppers.

Stir in the vinegar, lime juice, olive oil and red pepper sauce. cover and chill in the fridge at least 2 hours before serving. Store tightly sealed for up to 1 week. Makes 2 cups.

I think this is more of a fresh salsa recipe instead of the canning kind. I dunno...

Dornes glad you found some company for your little guy.

TO wow, would love to see that butterfly, sounds interesting. A tiger swallowtail resembles a black swallow tail although the female tiger actually appears more brownish with two small yellow markings on the upper edge of the front wings. I believe the one I shot is a male tiger as the underside of the wings on a black have a lot more orange and a fair amount of white.

Thanks for post the recipe !! I was going to ask for it too but Jimbo beat me to it !!! By the way, what is a good price for Apple Cider Vinegar. I thought I remember paying $2-$3 a gallon but looks like it went up in price ??? Like everything else.
I want to start putting it in my chicken waterers. Since I've been doing that they are eaiser to clean. I have one of those pumps on the gallon but I think I am using to much. One or two pumps for a gallon. I think to much !!! Going thru the gallon way to fast !! lol
Jim, while your typing your message, copy it now and then so if you lose it you can at least paste it to a new message and go from there. Not my idea !!! Someone from here shared it with me. Who ????

easier yet.. I have a friend who lives about 8 miles away.. He said when my potatoes are ready to dig he will bring his tractor and PTO digger over and get them out for me..

I have only one row, about 300 feet long..

Our neighbor dug ours up last year with his tractor !! That was amazing how that works !!! I lost my digital camer card with it on it so I can't show you but it was cool.

Good afternoon everybody

It looks like I will be making some dilly beans soon and some pickles. Salsa will be in a few weeks. Yumm.

My pumpkin plant is growing very large. It was a volunteer. I need to post pic sometime as it is VERY huge area wise. I have lots of volunteer cherry tomatoe plants that grew in the onions, lucky the onions grew out before the plants got too big.

Well I need to clean the coop today, the rain got inside all the windows and the door so bedding is wet.

Glad I needed a good reason to clean it. Its been a few weeks.

My small coop needs moving to the south of the big coop. Then I will add my extra roos into it and hopefully will be peace for the hens. I already ate some and gave some away but still have some left. I dont want them bothering the hens this winter.

That oughta be fun. I have big plans! Hope they work out.

loeggs I had Muskovies and just loved them. The love to fly and perch on the buildings. I was surprized when I first got them and they climbed up a wall in my coop. CLAWS YIKES I had to give them away last winter when I had pneumonia. couldnt take care of them.
