Lil' Outlaw is in Fall Creek at Schulner's ranch. Do you get the trading Post? It should be in there. I can give you contact number if you want. It starts at 6amthru 9am+ and there will be chickens, ducks, etc. Possibly horses, donkeys, dogs, rabbits, kittens, produce ....... I am going because Karen Schulner will be weeding out her show silkies and upcoming prospects and just to get one of her "rejects" would be a Godsend for me.

It is usually a fairly big swap.

Jim thanks for the 2 minute warning on the fries forgot to mention that you only cook them a little then finish for eatin time. But then again what were we talkin about? Was thinkin the same thing about canning taters how about it Sparks is it worth all the jars? Gonna need a bigger canner! tiki shake your finger at that cochin decidedly and tell im what a bad naughty chicken he is! It works, trust me

And tell him he has to buy you a new rake with his new JOB.

Still can't think of the name of that pitch fork and anyone that uses it up on a roof ought to know that it makes bigger holes when you land on it.

I would but I'm already running a "Rooster Spa and Resort" here.

YOu mean to tell me that IF you hadn't seen a picture of my rooster I could have just dropped him off by your house and you would never known the difference!?

MAN why didn't I think of that earlier!!

Still prefer the shovel no matter what the rakes name is....

all those little ones that fall between the tines, pea size and up, and are lost is a shame. They scrub up beautiful, boil with the skin on and serve with butter....heaven!

We can potatoes here too. We like to can them whole, mostly golf ball to hard ball size. They shread well and work great for cheesy potatoes. I prefer the canned ones just for that dish. They keep for a couple years here.

Yep, gotta double dip the fresh french frys....if you are gonna freeze fresh frys, then cook them until they just start to brown. Drain well on paper towels and alow to cool completely , before bagging and freezing. Nice fall project when the air is cool.

I have 7- 50ft rows of potatoes jim...should be able to dig that short one you have...

Shredding is a pain. I just cube them up to about 1/2 inch and pan fry in a cast iron pan. With OO and Lawry's and pepper

At the rate we're going we just might catch up with the Oklahoma thread.

Need some hatching advice. Got some quail eggs today, and will be batoring those along with some chicken eggs. I just have a cheapie LG with auto turner. Should I stop the turner while the quail hatch? I don't have anything else to use as a hatcher. I tried taking a tray out of the turner but they are in there good and I don't wanna break it. Any thoughts??

Amy if the chicken eggs are over a week- week and a half into incubation it should not hurt to stop the turner, then turn back on after lil peps hatched.. Main concern would be to not let the humidity get too high.

kris shred em and soak em in water first. Makes a big difference! Just got off the phone with Donny, an inquiring and forgetful mind wanted to know, he agrees tater fork but did look it up and the closest I can find is garden fork. Now I can sleep tonight, maybe, if it wasn't for those other things I'm thinkin about.
