So gotta put a shirt on, brush my teeth, call Butt dog and out the door !!! Not necessarily in that order !!!!

Well, just lost my post. Went to leave and the tire isn't on the trailer !!! Had to scream louder then the tractor to get DH attention. Did it but have a sore throat now !!!

Geez, where ever we go we are always late !!!

I'll wait a bit to go out there or I may catch He!!

My cheeesy potatoes are with the canned ones...you can use frozen hash browns but they need to be thawed and drained first.

The cheesy tatoes are simply made in the micro, if you can believe that...keep it s simple...but make it taste difficult.

Simply grate the potatoes, add chopped onion, we like alot, but to taste, one can of cream of chicken soup undiluted, one cup sour cream, salt and pepper to taste... mix well,....cook in a glass dish with cover til the onions are almost done, half hour on medium heat...add grated sharp cheddar to a goodly amount prolly a cup or two....cook a little longer til the cheese is melted...should be goody!

Took a little break to start some potatoes. Will add cheese later.

bigzio thanks for the recipe That tastes really good too, Always get that at potlucks.

Today its just onions potatoes and cheese and seasonings for me. Itll do the trick.

Well TO - sorry to burst up your chick bubble - but I finally had to break down today and get some chicks to keep the Peepers company. She/He is driving me nuts with all the peeping. I just couldn't take it anymore. Found a lady in Mindoro, only 40 mins away, that had day old on up. Well, that trip for ONE or TWO chicks turned into something else...

dang chicken math was at it's finest!

I come home with one pied day old guinea, 2 black and white frizzle cross day old chicks (one has feather feet), one white frizzle cross day old chick. One black and white purebred frizzle that is 2 weeks old and 2, yes 2, india blue peafowl chicks! Spent 31.00.... lol. That is less than I spent for the one peafowl chick that is coming from Madison. Figure that one out. OH well, the one in Madison is pied. The lady in Mindoro has TONS of chicks and adult chickens she is looking to sell - she is a breeder, and all her birds were awesome looking (except one peafowl chick that had been pecked on...)

So... the Peepers is now quiet. Not a peep and she/he is all cuddled up with the other day old chicks and is content. Happy as a clam. Thank goodness, because that peeping was making me bonkers.

Cracked open one of the eggs that is still in the incubator earlier today - nothing. Just a scrambled up yolk. Didn't even stink, which I find funny. I don't have the heart to crack them all open, but if they are not hatched by tomorrow night or there isn't a pip in any of them they will be tossed.

Tiki - seeing as how I found some peafowl chicks - I probably won't be making it to the swap this weekend. I hope you get what you are looking for though!

TO - hope you can still make it with carol this weekend though, would still like to meet you!

Well cornbread is done in the oven and the ribs are starting to smell done

BBQ is smelling up the house.... mmmm. off to make up some broccoli.

Mindoro sounds so familiar when I was living in LaCrosse, I just cant place where it is. It sounds like a few of you live very close to me. This is exciting. I have been planning on attending the Galesville show next year ever since I found out about it a couple of months ago.

Is anyone going to the RedCedar show on October first in Menomonie? I can send out catalogs if you want them.

Well my supper was good. Swiss chard and onions with cheese in eggs. And fried potatoes with onions and ketchup. Most everything from the garden except the cheese, oil to fry it and salt and pepper.
