we went to cave of the mounds this past weekend and I found out that I really am VERY clausterphobic, I was having an anxiety attack. I had to keep telling myself to BREATH! lol and yet I'm THINKING of going back with my kids for a home school field trip, THINKING! speaking of home school, books should be coming today some time???? that's what the UPS site said but it's already 430 so IDK

I got a tip for you all, If you get the xbox 360 w/ kinnect for your "kids" be sure to have deoderant on hand

Good afternoon all! Been a very busy day here. Ive been cleanning like a mad women getting ready to go to Ashland til Friday afternoon, the house needs to be clean because the boys (bf and son) will be here alone and it will be bad if I dont get it now (me and my ocd) lol Finally got DD's room together, when I get back Ill have to work on DSs room. Then we will have to get livingroom and diningroom together.
Got the coop and pen clean. Speaking of chickens we got 16 eggs from the 17 girls today

Bf was talking to them last night about what would happen if we got single numbers again

Aug. 24th sure is a popular day. DHs cousin's birthday is tomorrow too. So happy early birthday, FT & Tom, and happy early anniversary, Raim! I'm sure by tomorrow I'll have completely fotgotten. Sad but true. AAADD, ya know. Oh, to be 33 again. Enjoy it, Raim! And happy anniversary, H&R! See, I almost forgot that one already too. Sheesh! Hope your Maran is better real soon too.

Well that's a new one. Someone around here must have a rooster. I can just barely hear him. Guess I'll have to take a ride around sometime.
Anyway, it was a rainy morning here too. I don't think it stopped until after noon. The ladies were not amused being let out so late. And then Dottie ran out of the banty/rabbit side of the carport on me.

I just hope Moose leaves her alone. Fat chance, since she is his favorite. I've had her seperated because she had a relapse & she didn't need the stress of him always bothering her. She's much better now & I'd like to keep it that way.
The rain must be moving back in, since it's starting to get dark here. I hope it waits until DH gets home from golfing so he can chase chickens. Today is his last day of leagues for the year.

Haven't bought too much lumber from them lately, but I got my greenhouse & carport from there, and was very pleased with both. Neither are wood though. I don't frequent there because they are too far away. We have a Home Depot & Ace in town, but are they ever expensive. DH isn't too big on carpentry, even though he did an awesome job on the basement. He prefers metal (tool & die maker), & he has an arbor press. Too bad you're so far, Jim. And way to go on the Ford, DrH. I hope you get to use it sometime.

Congrats on the eggs, TO. They are beauties. And there are some pretty small dogs out there. I'm sure they would have a thundershirt that would fit a cat.

Bigz, you dumped wheelbarrows of apples out? Almost all my apples got eaten by those darn Jap beetles this year. Usually I'm canning applesauce & slicing/freezing bags of apples for pies/crisps for over winter by now.

Well the last young jaerhon pullet, not the ones that are at TO's... is either dead or about to die, despite vitamins, separating, and antibiotics...
I think that the entire clutch from the guy in New Glarus was doomed...

I am going to raise the two I am getting here at the house OR try to shove them under my broodies...
not sure yet.
Well I have to go feed before it rains.. AND get my laundry off the lines..

I think I missed FT in the birthday list and think I might have confused Raim and H&R in the anniversary celebration stuff... but happy happy to you all!

Off to work on the business idea I had today, thanks to the nice photo comments on here.... brainstormed a bit with my daughter and came up with something that could be a winner, even DH thought it was a good idea and he's da*m hard to impress in that department! Once I get things rolling I'll let you all in on it... until then I must

eta: Well I will just add on to this one. Went to feed the lil chickies and see there are 2 more chicks in the incubator.

I thought they would have drowned with the first hatch but I didnt want to actually toss them. Oh No ! Wheres Dornes ?

etaetane appears to be a cochin of unknown colors and one appears to be a silkie of mixed color. And another one is pipping. Yes I did open the incubator and they are still going at it.

Good evening! I just got back from cleaning a house on the lake that I did last fall too. The woman's family doesnt use it in the winter (they live in IL) so they rent it out. She has me clean it up before and after the renter. I just love this house! It is not impressive at all from the front but from the Lake side it looks cool. Kind of an older house but I just love all the windows and patio doors! There is a full house on the main floor and also a full house down in the basement that opens to the lake. A very interesting place...I wish it was mine. We could seriously have the bash right there!

So after a long day I was charged (for about 10 minutes) to work on my house but as soon as it started getting dark the kids were home so of course I cant do anything then...yup, I am FULL of excuses! I talked to a very nice carpenter guy on the way to my job today...he is rebuilding this old barn in town. I got some really good ideas for the siding on my barn. It was fun to check out that place...I am going to go and introduce myself to the woman who's grandpa's farm it is. (man, does that even make sense?) Anyhow...she has a really neat cat enclosure that she has around her yard. I would really like to copy something like that in part of mine. I bet my cats would like to go outside some...anyhow, I want to find out how this woman is
able to pay for somebody (a professional) to redo all the buildings on her property. She is knocking down NOTHING! I love that she is doing this...unlike all those people on CL that are getting rid of GOOD outbuildings! (idiots!)

OK--I better go out and lock up the critters...my cuckoo marans dont seem to be hanging out in the little coop any more...tomorrow I need to locate them and get them in with the "good birds." I am starting to separate and recoop birds to find out what I have and what I cant butcher/sell. I cant wait to see the yearlong feed report this year!

I guess I am a little scared...
