I'll be up at least 'till 2.... going to wash my hair now and even with help from the blow dryer it will take that long to dry

Jim... if you really want that bird back you can have it. It's starting to get rust colored feathers on it's back too so with all that color coming it may be a roo. It's a cool bird, and I do enjoy it, but if you want to do more breeding and if light ones are hard to come by, I can see it would be worth way more to you.

Here is a list of the show and swaps in WI. There is a show in Beaver Dam this Saturday and a Swap on Sunday.

Then there is a swap in Fond Du Lac on the 29th. I'm thinking of going to the one in Fond Du Lac. Looks like it will be the last one for the year. So if anyone goes let me know. Maybe we can have a meet up !!! Look at the time though !!! I'll have to get a room !!!!!! LOL

Just got back in from checking on Jims birds, their all cowered in the corner of the Green House !!!! Stupid birds. They don't appreciate that I was in and out of the Greenhouse moving all the plants in the rain so they would have a place to perch?????

Finally quit raining. Hope it stays that way. DH takes the car to work so when he gets home we will be making room in it for the birds. Plus bringing pumpkins down to put at the cemetary. And one for my little niece. Her first Halloween, she'll need a homegrown one from Auntie Sandi !!

My sister is baby sitting on Sunday so we are going to take her to the pumpkin farm. They have goats. My Mom and I would always take my nephew there and the last Halloween before they were killed my Dad came with. I have the nicest picture of them with my nephew standing in front of the corn field maze.

Found out from Wcc that there is a goat sale near Madison on Saturday !!!!!! SH!T

gotta go to the Dancing horses with my sister and 89 yr old Aunt Saturday. Don't get me wrong I want to go but

So what else is new !!!! The woman I was going to get the two free goats from and the polish chickens had her husband call me tonight. I didn't hear the phone so he lucked out when he left me the message that his daughter and wife were crying about getting rid of the animals so they are going to be keeping them !!!! "Sorry for the inconvience" !!!! Yeah right !!!! Thanks for everything !!! I sure liked Earl and Hank !!!

Ok, I should start dozing soon, had to take a sleeping pill or I would never get up in time to do chores and start packing !!!

Can you guys tell that I don't want to leave my animals ????

I get like this everytime !!! Then when I'm down there I hate to leave my family and my house (which is for sale or should be, anyone want to buy a duplex?)

Ok, gonna check CL one more time. On my way back I am stopping in West Bend for two silkie hens, yes i said hens !!!! No More Roo's here !!!
If anyone hears of any SQ silkies down in the Milw, Racine, Kenosha area over the next few days shoot me an email hey. I'll have my laptop and I get connection from one of the neighbors down there. At least I hope I still can. Otherwise I'll be sitting in the McDonalds parking lot altot !!

I'm Back!

DrH ... Our wood stove is in the workshop and I swear when that thing gets fired up I'm going to have to put a curtain or some sort of divider in there so I can work in the back half! Those wood burners can really heat a room hot! Yep, if you put eggs a couple of feet away they would probably hatch! Don't want to get chicks too close or you'll have chick(in) nuggets! Frankie the Pheasant ...love it!

Jim... did you see the post about the bird (TGF)? Look back to my last post if you missed it. Remember, this guy started out yellow/white with a few black feathers. Yea, it doesn't make much noise, but I think it felt left out as noisy as the guineas are!

and even then I may not get into breeding..

Brent, those updraft carbs can be a nightmare.. I got mine set so it starts almost on the first crank.. If you have any air leaks in the intake manifold that could cause hard starting. Also, you have to treat it like a 2 cycle engine and make sure your choke is closing TIGHT., then turn the needle valve out a bit so more gas can get into the carb.. If none of that helps, you have to reset the float so that more gas comes through..

I have a guy coming this afternoon to look at my duck hens..
will he really show up ?? the betting window is open..

better get my butt out and feed the throngs..
