Ok, doing my recipe search here, Jim how did you prepare your stuffing? My Mom put prunes in hers. Some people put apples etc.I bought some stuffing mix from the grocery store yesterday that is basically the bread cubes and has a seasing packet in it. They didn't sell it on the shelves, I bought it from the butcher in the back. They use this brand to make their stuffed chicken breasts that they sell in the meat counter that are delish.
I have celery, apples and prunes I could add as well as chicken broth. Sure wish I would have helped my Mom prepare TG dinner back years ago. I do know how to make the sweet Potatoes in butter and brown sugar though ! YUM !!

Can't find my Pumpkin Pie Spice so I guess I'll have to add all the cloves, cinn, and ???? the old fashion way, Got a recipe for that too Jim or TO ????

Cooked my pumpkin last night, so ready to go !!

Sandi, I cheated and used precut bread cubes . I like them because they are so dried and hard..

I assume you will be using one package of them..

I would add one pound of seasoned pork sausage..

I use a stockpot to prepare my stuffing misture..

start the sausage frying..

chop up about a cup each of celery and onion.. when the meat is about done frying, (I use a hand potato masher to break it up) add the celery and onion.. hen I season it until it smells strong of the watkins chicken seasoning.. cook this all unntil the onions are quite well cooked.. then I add a cup of water. or less.. we are just making a slurry,, not soup.. then I add a tablespoon of watkins gravy mix.. when all is blended so that you cannot see what is onion or celery anymore; add the juice, a little at a time.,, to the bread cubes in a very large bowl or pot,, I stir it with my hands if the juice is not too hot.. add about a half pound, more or less of raisons.. keep adding the juice and mixing until the juice is about use up.. the cubes should be about better than half soaked by this time.. sort of aldente.. now add everything from the pot into the cubes and mix well.

put into bread pans or cake pans , cover with aluminum wrap and bake at 375F for 20 to 30 minutes,, NO MORE than 30..

OK, you go do this,, I am going to go watch the game..

Jim... Between getting shot in the rear and the kids first field dressing....the whole inside was a mess. I did take them out and wash them, but they still smelled like the best thing for them was dog food.

Hi all...dinner is done! I put everything away and set up some for DS22 to take home and also a plate for my client. (she prob wont eat it anyhow>...) My son however will probably eat every morsel! You know how guys are that live alone! Anyhow, everything was delish as I am sure your stuff was too. The turkey got done a full hour early on the grill and it was nice and moist. Now I just have to drive Bernie home...sigh, I am ready for bed!
I actually did watch a small part of the Packer game. While I was peeling potatoes...they looked good.

So OK--gotta go and put the critters away...give them their T-day dinner leftovers! Nighties! Terri O

So.....Hey Everyone! Long time no post- I know! I just wanted to stop in and say Hi and wish everyone a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving and that I hope all of you are having a nice day with friends and family.

Everyone is great here and I finally got all the stuff done that needed to be done to the house and yard before the winter gets here. That is one huge reason I've been scared around these here parts.
My horse's "issue" is resolved quite well and she is doing great. She is starting to show her age though. Hopefully the winter will be a mild one in Cali and she can get through it with minimal fuss.

Well, I have to go help the DH clean the kitchen up from the feast we had! Have a nice night!
Cheers

good overstuffed evening, we all had a great time.. the turkey dark meat was toughish, the white meat was tender and delish.. DD#1 boyfriend ate almost a whole chicken.. had birthday cake and then later had some pear pie.. both made by DS's girlfriend..

the Pack had me worried in the first quarter. No D# on the run.. but thanks to TerriO's support they put another one on the win column..

I think this is the first time I ever saw a player get ejected from the game.. makes you wonder about the mentality of some players..eh? the coaches have some of the blame also. this was not a first time thing for this player. If the coaches wouldn't overlook his actions because he is a good defenseman, he wouldn't do such things.. ie. His penalty did not do his team much good, did it ?

I hit my goal for goose eggs today.. I have 5 more for the bator..
19 total...

my nephew just sent this to me.. add this one to Jeff Foxworthy's Wisconsin:

Funny, the Wisconsin DNR deer registration cards have a few questions on them now that I have not seen before (maybe because I don't register deer often enough).
One asks about the weather conditions that day.
This Saturday was cold, 30F with wet falling snow mixed with sleet. Nasty stuff. Everyone's clothes ended up soaking wet.
When the DNR asked to rate the weather conditions from 1 to 10 with 10 being best,
David said 7,
Aaron said 8,
Luke said 9.
They must be from Wisconsin.
When asked the same question,
Jake gave the weather a 4.
I guess he's from Wisconsin too but probably spent too much time in California and Florida.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

(Wherever you're from)
