Well CC--I was waiting to see what MLH said about your post before I commented...I have been known to wrap the dog and cat presents...just cause they tear into them better than the kids do! I also Like to wrap in that brown paper with jute twine and pine branches...and sometimes a sprig of holly from the bushes...

All my presents look the same cause I do the theme thing...then we know which ones to take to which house! Wont be a problem this year though--we arent exchanging gifts among families!
Such a lot to read when I got on tonight! Good job Cheesies! I have to go out and feed yet but I wanted to come on and say good night...I am anxious to check my email and see what FT sent...should I be scared?

Well, DH still isn't home from work. Good thing I didn't make supper !!!! Spent who knows how long outside again tonight. Mr Piggy followed me around the yard then didn't want to go in for the night. When he finally did and I was closing the garage door I closed it on my fingers !!!! OUCH, good thing I had gloves on !! Guineas are all roosting on top of the Chicken Run, just like yours TO they go in the coops to eat during the day and check things out acting like they own the place but will have nothing to do with it at night. Don't know what I'm going to do with them when it gets really really cold !!

Don't know if whipping the horses Hay hurt my shoulder or what but it is really sore !!!! Gosh, if I feel this bad at 53 what the heck do you feel like Jim ????

Um FT... what did the hay do wrong?? why whip it?? I mean sometimes it flies back in to you as you toss it, if its windy, and you are throwing into the wind... And sometimes it gets moldy.. but no reason to do capital punishment!!

FT... If you want to go to the bash you may want to start looking for a "critter sitter". We were lucky we had a broke neighbor lol paid him $20 to do the weekend. But then, it was only about 20 chickens. Don't know what we'll do this year. Maybe one of the other kids can can stay over for the weekend. I don't think DS1 can handle camping the weekend.... we'll see.

How old was it? Did you candle the eggs to see how far they were? Maybe they were quitters and she knew it.

Well, DH's Christmas party for work was tonight, we just ate and left. I had prime rib and shrimp!

Well, with the soup and salad and fresh bread.... I just ate the shrimp and the prime rib and potato are in the frig! I brought my cake home for DS. I made some shrimp for him before we left so he wasn't too left out.
Chickens did NOT like the snow! The "kids" came out and hung around the big shed door (their favorite spot) and I only saw 1 hen out. Even the roosters stayed in today.

The guineas were out in short bursts.
Poor Roadrunner. I don't know if she will ever want to come out of that cage again! Since those roosters tried "gang banging" her she won't come out! Most of the other hens try to stay away from them too! They got to go!

Ok, going to try the sleep thing (haha) Night all!

Good morning! THis cant be true? I am the first post of the day? It is quarter to ten! THe sun sure is bright today...it looks really neat cause the crystals are falling off the trees and sparkling in the air. I think it is a perfect day to go horse riding...I think WCc said she was going today. Yes a perfect day but will I do it...prollly not! It would take me until Wednesday to get my horse cleaned up enough to put a saddle on him. I really should get him cleaned up now though since all the burrs are down (I think)

Not much to say on the chicken front...I was looking at the auction on here and there was a person that was bidding against themselves? I am not sure how the auction works on here but the bid history had her bidding higher and higher and no one in between! Weird! It was for some "old school" RIRs-really nice looking birds. Feedback said that she was having 98% hatching from SHIPPED eggs! Man the PO must be really good between there and the destination! I still should get back to Revolution Mama and see if I could get more eggs...out of the 18 I got only one hatched...I cracked all the eggs and there was no development in any and one was a double yolker! Still think I got taken on that deal! Of course the one that hatched is a black Americana...at least it is a HEN! AllI can say is she better lay some really fine eggs this spring!
My dinner was yummy last night...plain old beef roast with potato halves (red/golds YUM) baked sweets and a dish I made up with peas, tomatoes and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. AND fruit salad! My niece and her Mom stopped over to bring the fruit I ordered for her band fund raiser. "Tropical Box" guess what was in it? A pineapple and 3 diff apples, 3 diff pears, grapefruit and oranges! DH said he never knew apples were tropical!

I said It's WI, nobody really knows any other fruit but these! We were hoping for mangoes, guava, star and ugli fruit......oh well--it's all good!
Guess I will get dressed...the tummy's growling for some eggs! Have a fantastic day! Terri O

Just thought I'd stop in and say hey! So Hey! haha!
Dh and I are going up to Mad City to the Costco there. I'm hoping I make it back....Maybe I should will my chickens to someone in case I never make it home and get trampled from all those Mad Christmas Shoppers....

The Chickies are doing great and I finally exchanged that stupid heated hanging waterer...got a plain old blue plastic pet bowl type since they were in sale. I have to say I like it. It works and the Girls seem happy with warmish water!

TO and CC- Whoo Hoo! I'm not they only pet crazy person here! However you have my permisson to wack me upside the head if I ever think gift wrapping individual meal worms to give to the Chickens is a good idea! LOL!!

I may be a little crazy but I'm not certified....yet!!

Well, I'll chat when I get back...Dh is wanting to go...

When I was At Fleet Farm the other day I looked around at stuff and turned things over, MADE IN CHINA on everything !!!! Geez this is going to be more difficult then I thought. I might just go up to the neighbors and buy a bottle of homade maple syrup !!!!

I guess ABC had a Made in the USA challenge and it is really helping but while I was in Dollar General, Wally World and Fleet Farm and saw just how much is Made in China, I invisioned what the stores would look like if they took all of the Made in China things out.............. Empty I'm afraid !!! And think of all lost jobs !!!! Wow, no wonder we're in trouble !!

Anyway, DH got home at around 11:30pm ish and apploigized for leaving me with so much to do. That was weird ! I thought he would have been mad cause I blasted him !!! Wonder what he wants now !!! Always nice before he makes a purchase !!!

TO, I"m sorry, I won't whip my hay anymore !!!! You're right that was a bit extreme. From now on I'll just kick it over the fence !! How's that ????
