Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Sounds delicious Tomski. I hope the Reveren was there keeping a close eye on you two. I definitly would'a slapped a few of those venzun weenies on the grill. You know a good cook tastes as he goes, eh! My local barber is a ton of fun each visit. Like I've said before, I pay for the Bull and the haircut is free. He only charges $9 but I always tip (more inside info that way) 1$. You know how much that buys these days...

Nice facial pics of all you brave souls...I liked the trifecta post too Angie.

Time for supper....toight it's venzun roast with green beans and red potatoes all in the cast iron oven pot.

later... bigz

I just HAD to taste the hotdogs.... Fired up the grill and browned them nice and even. I think they taste more like a sausage than a hot dog - mind me - they are delicious - however, I think next batch will be "emulsified" to give it that "hot dog texture." Bottom line is that they taste really good. (I wonder if it was from the fresh sage we threw in there????)

Didn't get to talk to Rev'd Jim but did have (and am still drinking) some good ol' Miller lite....

Since I have all this ground up venison (Bill left about 15lbs here after making sausage) Tonight, I'm gonna mix together some meat(venison) loaf, pack it in the little 1lb disposable tin foil loaf pans and freeze them. Lot's of Veggies in the fridge and just about every spice in the counter you can name....

FT - I'll bring you a frozen one... Hope you like onions and garlic! LOL Cook at 350 for an hour and enjoy some U.P. High Speed Beef...

Tomski
We make potato sausage out of our venison every year and it is cooked for an hour in not quite boiling water. I never thought of using my roaster, thanks for posting that about the hotdogs, a light bulb just went off in my mind.

Hope everyone is enjoys the nice weather tomorrow sure wish I was off work, this is always a hard week to get used to.

Hey all! Our "dinner" is done. THe girls just got home from volleyball...or something. It is very noisy in here! THey get wild when someone comes in for sure! SO I say dinner in quotes cause we joined that biggest loser competition and I have been trying to convince the OM that since I have a dietary degree he shouldnt argue with me cause I know what I am talking about! Yup--he just said that lime juice and butter didnt matter on the sweet potato--he picks butter....yeah...whatever!
He is getting crazy about counting calories...thinks that if he eats 2700 calories per day he will lose 2# a week. NOT!

Well, I am going to up load a new avatar and then go out and feed the birdies! No more little finches out of the nest...I think they have 2 out of 6 left!

Sweet dreams all! Terri O
(PS) H&R--what was your final hatch rate %?

good evening, had all the birds loose today.. they all went in to their coops by themselves.. just had to shut doors.

DrH, that is odd what you said.. many women have told me, the more they embibe, the better i look..

I just moved the gosling to the bottom of the hatcher.. he still has the shell stuck on his butt.. He is all but loose.. I can hear him knocking around in there..

I took Nora for the perimeter walk,, she still does not turn off of the driveway by herself.. she follows the rest of the route just fine, though.. I am looking forward to the day I can turn her loose and she runs the route by herself.. Like Sunny did..

I heard that everybody is invited to the UP for ho-made weiners and Miller Lite..

BBP, I heard that Call ducks were difficult to hatch.. I would love to take a crack at a batch.. If you have some extra eggs, ??

I have to contact the lady in Merrill with the peahen.. It is still on CL.. maybe she has sold it but did not remove the ad.? she said she had a couple of inquiries.. but I know how that goes.. nobody shows up..

Wow! Everyone must be making up for yesterday. That's good. But where the heck has Deb been for so long? And no Tiki lately?

I'm glad to hear Nora is settling in, Jim. She seems like quite a well behaved girl. It sounds like you're giving her a better home than her previous one.

And I'm agreeing with DrH on the squinting.

I'm the one who mentioned Majkowski, and I can believe he has bad knees. Poor guy used to run for his life when he played for the Packers.
lau.gif
And I agree as soon as you toss something out, you'll find a use for it, usually later in the week, even though you've had the darn thing for 20 years. Been there, done that.
roll.png

Ah, MLH, you crack me up with your Bubba the Barbarian tales. Reminds me of my boy Junior. That cat was into everything! Every time you heard a crash, DH & I didn't even have look, just yell "JUNIOR"! Thankfully his 2 brothers weren't like that. Raising one little fuzzy terrorist was bad enough: I don't think I would have survived 3.

Nice pics FT! Good job on the water heater. That is a nice stringer of fish! When we used to go up north a lot, we always had way better luck catching fish in the winter.
hu.gif
Tip downs? You're not too up on your fishing terms, are ya?
lau.gif
BTW, that new addition to your driveway looks like a nice little chicken coop.
tongue.png
I hope you find your "new" roo alive & well. I can't believe your neighbor did that. And what's up with your avatar?

Nice job on the hot dogs, Tom. Reminds me of when DH used to make sausage with his cousins every fall. They had a smokehouse in their backyard where they'd smoke some of them. Yum! They smoked their own bacon & ham hocks too. No, not HAMMOCKS, people.
wink.png

It sure was nice out today. I think I'm going to clean out the coop again either tomorrow or Friday. Mom & I went shopping today & I got some really good clearance bargains in the Christmas section. They had these really good German spice cookies for 47 cents for a one pound package. Glad I'm not signed up for biggest loser.
tongue.png
I also got a dog sweater for my geriatric cat who is always on my lap trying to keep warm. That gave DH & I a good laugh. He's so old I can dress him funny and there's nothing he can do about it.
lau.gif

Better send this off before I lose it. Sweet dreams, all!
