Glad all your work on the seasoned weiners paid off. I personally like a coarser ground dog/sausage. Think was CC giving you a hard time about when the "proper" time is to drink beer. PAY NO ATTENTION TO HER! Anytime you want a beer is the proper time!

And I'm getting better about the hovering just check the temp/hum. Glad I did this morning needed to add water this morning. Down to 32%. BFF and I have a lake X but it's for Muskies. Had a cat named Beaver Marie when my DD25 was little and she tied TP around it's head and called him G'ma Beav.

He just slunk around the house with that TP on his head. Brought tears to my eyes

good morning, well, the new gosling made it through the night with the older one , so I guess they are buddies, now.. It sure is amazing the difference in their sizes..

I am thinking of startine the tractor and just doing a light scrape of the perimeter route.. It is tough walking through that deep snow..

FT NO WAY am I going to eat month old incubated eggs.. I don't even eat 3 day old fresh eggs except rarely.. I have fresh eggs daily, why eat the old ones ? I was thinking of running these goose eggs through the hamilton mixer to bust them into small pieces..

can't think of anything to write about.. haven't made a pot of coffee yet.. I'm running on empty..

Good morning--today I decided (since I have time) to respond as I read. Unfortunately my fingers are not typing well today!Looks like the backspace key will be the most frequent one tapped this morning! I think I hit it 15 times for that sentence!

GLad the dog is learning Jim! So you havent had her off leash in the yard yet? When you say "walk the perimeter" are you meaning you go all the way around your property and how far is that? I have a relatively small place and that would take me about an hour!
Tom--thanks for that information about bennies! I have a neighbor that might benefit from that and also a client. Neither has a computer and it sounds from your description that they dont exactly publicize the information!
The weatherman just said our high is forecasted for 46 today!

Of course I have to work the entire afternoon and evening!

Carol I sure wish those were LF Modern Games! I know someone was looking for Birchen MG banties though...I might have to reconsider...was it Tiki or BBP that had the red kind (and I was getting a few?) Now that I think about it I think they were banties too--HMMMM.....might make a call.

Now I am craving split pea soup again...I am planning on making a ham for this weekend's festivities (family coming for Christmas) I wonder if I can wait until next week for it? I dont think I have any more smoked hocks or neckbones in the freezer...man they charge a small fortune for them in the store! Hah!!! A cat in a sweater! Reminds me of my DD25 dressing up her cat in an elf costume! He was NOT pleased. I will have to see if I can find that pic...it is hysterical! Wcc Yep I meant Tip Downs, I'll post you a picture or link, better then trying to explain. Ok, well I'll try. You use a jig pole (I think that is what they call it) and you put it in a very simple to make wooden holder that balances the pole. When you have a bite the tip of the pole goes down, Tip Down !! So it is not like the tip up's you normally use.

FT I thought you meant "tippups" too! (that is how my Dad always said it--one word!) I havent heard of your type of rig...find a pic will ya? So what is with your avatar? It looks stretched out like BBP's does...is that a change? I want to ride on that chicken BTW!

See Cind--you musta been saving that roo just for that guy! Good for you! I sold both of my LF cochin crosses too...I didnt have the heart to butcher them they were so pretty....the guy that bought them has no such qualms however!

DrH--ya know where I live if ya catch any fish in the marsh...You wouldnt want to eat them and find out that they taste funny would you? I will be happy to provide a taste test at no charge to you...what a deal! Only for a limited time will I offer this fantastic bargain...

All I can say is that is sure takes a while to read and respond at the same time...you all are right; we are missing a bunch of our friends! HMMM--maybe too much to read? Man if I dont have at least a few comments to read from you all in the morning my day is not complete! I have to give DD a call and find out where that cat pic is...I really want to find the other pic I have for my avatar on biggest loser....their system lets you take just a part of the pic though so you get a better close one I guess...
Dogs are carrying on...guess they want to go out AGAIN! *sigh* I am feeling a draft in here all of a sudden...up to 30 out on the porch now!

Yesterday was a fantastic day - weather wise - here in south-est, central-est Wisconsin! I actually went out for a walk-about around the property. . . something I haven't done since I started getting ready for winter in mid October.

Today is supposed to be even better! Don't know just what I'll do, but you can bet it won't be inside. Oops, DH just came in with a request for me to head to Menard's for some materials he wants to work on finishing the basement. We've only lived here about 40 years, so it's probably time, huh?

Coffee break! I gotta go.

40 minutes into me driving to Downsville to meet this lady with the roosters, she calls to say she'll be an hour late! So I'm supposed to sit in the car with 3 chickens crammed in small boxes for an hour? What a selfish woman! She couldn't have called earlier? Her phone cut out and now she isn't answering. Guess I'm going back home. Thanks for wasting my time and gas.

I started the tractor,, It is frozen to the ground.. Tomorrow will be warmer.. I could pull it loose, bu I don't want to pull a lug off of a rear tire.. once a long time ago, I pulled the tread off of a truck tire.. that sucks..

bbp, I hope you went home.. I reserve no obligation for beople who stand me up.. or for no answer to my phone calls.. I will bet that she didn't/won't show up in the end.. remember the 1 out of 10 rule. she was one of the 2 thru 10 ones,,

If she wants to get the roosters, this time let her drive all the way to your home.. You already did your share of the traveling..
unless you are charging LARGE $$$$ for the roosters , you might just as well knock them in the head and throw them onto the manure pile..

I have the northern pike thawing in a tub of water.. I want to at least thaw it enough to make it straight.. why do people freeze fish in that tight C shape ? Really, I am about to start refusing to take fish like that..

eta: we had a humorous phone call.. the woman was asking for my mother to help get signatures for Walker's recall.. Annie told her , sure she can help.. just that she is is 97 yrs old, incompetent, incontinent , blind and they would have to send a caretaker along with her.. the lad said, nevermind and hung up..
